Chapter 13

Chapter 13:

After we ate our breakfast, we drive to a mall to buy her a new phone.

"Saan mo nawala ang cellphone mo?" I asked her before entering the Apple Store.

She smiled before looking away. "Noong nasa Baguio ako. I... I don't know where exactly. B-Baka sa ano, party na in-attend-an ko kasama 'yung family ni Papa."

Napatango na lang ako. I asked the staff to get her the same iPhone as I have and they gave it. We inspect it and check if there are factory defect. When we saw that it's all fine, we decided to get it.

Ibibigay ko na sana ang credit card ko para bayaran 'yon nang pinigilan ako ni Lily. Napatingin ako sa kan'ya nang nagtataka. Ngumiti siya bago kumuha ng card sa wallet.

"Ako na," she smiled. "Masiyadong mahal para ikaw pa ang magbayad."

Hindi nawala sa paningin ko ang card na iniabot niya sa staff. Damn, that's black mastercard! Sa aming apat na magkakaibigan, si Connor lang ang mayroon no'n. I was taken aback at first because I never knew that Lily could have that card since I knew her as a simple and not a materialistic woman; I mean, I didn't know she can have that. If she has that, that means that she's too rich, or her family is something.

"T-That's for emergency use in a situation like this. This is the first time I used it," she explained after realizing what my reaction was.

Well... wala namang masama kung mayroon siya no'n. Baka nabigla lang ako. Tumango ako at ngumiti sa kan'ya bilang tugon.

After we bought her new phone, we went to a store that sells phone cases. We looked for a matching case because that's what she wanted and I am a lowly human that follows the order of my queen, so I agreed.

"I want this," I said when I saw a case with a design of man and woman kissing each other.

She laughed. "That's damn explicit. Magwawala si Mommy."

I smirked. "You're doing that with me earlier, though."

She laughed before punching me, shutting me up. The store owner concealed her smile when she heard that. Hindi ko na lang 'yon pinansin.

Sa huli, we ended up buying something so similar to what I wanted. The design was line art abstract of two people kissing. You would never notice in a quick glance but when you look closely, you'll see the details. Hers was pink while mine was sky blue.

She was so happy; so happy that our hands, holding each other, are swaying as we walked to the mall.

"You're so happy," I said.

She chuckled. "Of course," she kissed my cheek. "Thank you."

We roam around the mall to buy something. Ang daming tao dahil may okasiyon but that doesn't stop us from enjoying our time. Pareho kaming hindi mahilig mag-mall kaya naman bihira talaga sa amin 'to. We ate in YakiMix for our lunch, took selfies that she uploaded on her Instagram, while we're eating.

"Stop it. Let's eat first," I told her.

She smiled. "Wait lang, ito na," after few seconds, she put the phone down on her table. "Ang pangit ng feed ng Instagram mo. Sobrang random."

I laughed. "I'm not aesthetic."

She rolled her eyes before holding her spoon and fork. "Ang pangit na nga ng feed, ghost town pa. The last time you uploaded was six months ago. Hindi pa nga tayo magkakilala no'n. Upload something."
