Chapter 30:

After a week, I left the unit. Connor's the first to leave and it made us, somehow, sad. So, that's how it feels, huh? What will Terrence feel if even Jin leave the unit? Damn, I might break down. I'm just happy that he's got Belle that will be with her.

Terrence doesn't want to leave the unit. He's attached with the memories with us and the memories he created with Belle on that place. If there's other reason that he couldn't leave that place, I don't really know anymore.

I couldn't keep that place because it will only make me sad.

"Dalaw kami d'yan pare, ah? Inom," natatawang sabi ni Terrence.

I initiated a fist bump. "You can live with me, you know?" I laughed.

"Gago, baka magselos si Twila!"

They laughed so I laughed too. When the sun is almost down, all of them left. Lily's the only one who stayed because she wanted to help me arrange my things.

I was about to arrange my things when Lily stood in front of me. She's looking up, staring at my face. Her eyes are undeniably different now and I don't know what it is.

"I love you."

I gulped. My heart skipped a beat and thought I had a heart attack after hearing those words the first time while she's looking at me, directly, in my eyes.

Fuck, what's her problem?

"Mahal na mahal kita, Luke."

Her tears fell after saying those words. I couldn't talk. I was frozen. Lily turned her back at me and started arranging the things she promised to help with. She's still crying but she kept on moving the things we brought inside my new unit.

"Lily," I called her.

She didn't look back and so I walked towards her. I pulled her closer to me. She's crying so hard and she couldn't look at me directly. I wiped her tears away.

"Why are you crying?" I asked.

She shook her head before she wrapped her arms around me, tiptoed, and claimed my lips. She's pulling me closer like a hungry woman, desperate for something that we're always doing.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and carried her, bringing her inside the room, and then we started making love again. She never stopped crying the whole time we're doing that. I don't know why she's crying that hard. I've never seen her cry like this. It's the first time and it's breaking my heart.

The following days, weeks and months, Lily and I became busy, especially me, when law school and my job started. Lily found her group of friends and study buddy but I don't, because my time was too packed enough for law school and my job in a law firm.

Fuck, I was never prepared for this.

I was so focused with my part time job, I wasn't aware that I'm letting my studies to fell apart. Lily and I went to my unit because she found out that I have a problem with school and initiated that she might help me.

"Y-You failed your midterm grade in Criminal Law..." Lily said in a faint voice when she saw my report card.

"I know!" I shouted that made her jump on her seat. I looked away. "S-Sorry."

Lily looked at me in disbelief. "Alam kong may problema ka, Aldrin pero huwag mo naman akong idamay. Simula nang magsimula 'yung law school natin, lagi ka na lang galit. I don't know what the fuck I did," she said, almost gritting her teeth.
