"Now let's move on to the next part. Deciding this years side battle." Eric said as the Seventeen members looked at eachother confusedly.

"Side battle? What's that?" The8 asked as that caught the attention of Bangchan who was sitting right next to them.

"Its where they pick 2 groups to do side performances agaisnt eachother for the crowds entertainment, it doesn't affect the overall points. It basically just for fun." Chan explained.

The only reason Chan knows is because his school's group GOT7 last year was chosen to go up against bts.

"The first group for this year's side battle is...." Eric said reaching his hand into a box and pulling out a random peice of paper.

"Seventeen!"

"Just our luck." Mingyu said as the other groups applauded for them. Eric than grabbed another random peice of paper.

"VS NCT!"

"Just. Our. Luck." Jun groans as he covers his eyes. Maybe that would make it better, and this wouldn't be real.

"Rookies luck." Vernon shurgged to Seungcheol who nodded, they had no idea what NCT was like, or their capabilities but guess they were going to find out.

Once they were handed their schedules for performances they were sent to their practice rooms. "Okay at least we got a pretty large practice room." Hoshi said taking his jacket off.

"Okay let's think, today is Sunday. Our guest perfomers prefome every Monday, main competition performances are on Saturday and battle is on Sunday." Seungcheol went over the dates.

"That means we have like 6 days to practice for the main show." Dino said pulling out his phone. "Let's get working!" He cheered.

"Okay what song are we thinking?" Jeonghan asked as they all stared talking over eachother. Joshua sighed and whistled loudly to get their attention.

"THANK YOU! OKAY, one at a time please." Joshua said as they went around the room naming song ideas.

"What about Escaping the City?" Seungkwan suggested and they all paused. "What it's really upbeat and would give the crowd a good vibe."

"I like that idea." Seungcheol said as Hoshi pulled up the song. And they got to work.

They actually had to write Mingyu out of the song, since the taller had a family event he would have to attend on Saturday.

"It's okay Mingyu no need to be sorry." Seungcheol said after stopping the younger from apologizing for the 100th time.

While half of them worked on changing the lyrics, Dino and Hoshi were decided in on what they should do for the battle.
