I had just got back from picking up the cake and the last of the party supplies and I made it back to Jax's house I let myself in as Wendi pushed past me almost making me drop the cake

"Watch it!"

"I'm sorry." She said but she seemed distracted as she put her on her leather jacket

"You don't want to stay and help?" I asked

"I just got to make a quick run I'll be back." She said then left and I frowned this is how she acted when she was using. She was sneaky and jumpy I just prayed for Abel's sake she wasn't. I put the cake on the kitchen table and there was a knock on the door I opened it and was pulled into a big hug by Kayla

"I've missed you babes." She said

"I've missed you too! You still need to come down and visit we need to find your dress."

"I know, I know things have been a little nutty around here so David has been crazy busy."

"I bet and he's getting ready to take over for Unser right?"

"Yes I've never seen him so excited."

"Well your wedding day hasn't happened yet, so.."

"Your damn right. I got the food in my car." She said and I helped her bring in everything I asked her to pick up

"Are sure it's ok that I'm here?"

"Yes you're with me and if they don't like it screw them."

"Ooh I like this feisty side of you."

"I have nothing to fear my man is Iron Man." I teased she laughed

"You look so happy Gigi."

"I feel good even with the Iron Man thing I am crazy about him."

"I can tell I so happy to see that light back in your eyes." She said giving me a hug, then I we heard the front door open we shared a look and I walked out the kitchen to see my mom Luann, and of course Rachel. What was she her new lap dog now?' I thought to myself

"Hey sweetie." Luann said and came over and gave me hug

"Hey." I said

"What's going on here?"

"We're having a welcome home parry for Abel I told Jax to let everyone know."

"And I told Jax we were going to have a party at a later date preferably at the clubhouse."

"And I decided he needed to be welcomed home on the actual day he comes home, think of it as a late baby shower." I said with a shrugged

"Now ladies this baby is very loved so we can all work together and get everything set up." Luann said trying to keep the peace

"Fine."

"Fine."

"Good so what needs to be done?" Luann asked

"Well we bought everything already we just need to decorate and cook the food."

"Alright why don't Kayla, Rachel, and me start on the decorations and you two start cooking?" Luann said and I rolled my eyes at the thought of being stuck in the kitchen with my mom but this was for Abel I had to keep reminding myself of that.

"What did you buy?"

"I thought we do a taco/ nacho bar it's quick easy for the kids to handle alone." I told her and she nodded

"I'll start on the meat you start cutting everything." She said and I nodded

We worked in silence it wasn't awkward we just didn't have anything to say to each other

I had finished cutting the lettuce and was about to start on the tomato when my phone rang, I wiped my hand and pull the phone out of my pocket it was Tony. I look at my mom who was looking then I walked out of the kitchen

"where are you going?" Luann asked

"I have to take this I'll be right back." I said then walked into what would soon be Abel's room and sat on the daybed

"Hey handsome." I said with a smile

"When are you coming back?" He responded making me chuckle

"Next Monday I told you, what's wrong?"

"Pepper won't let me do anything fun." He whined I laughed

"Then it sounds like she's doing her job, what did you want to do?"

"Not be in meetings all day!"

"You sound like such a baby, look just go to your meeting smile and be polite. If you can behave until I get back I might have a little surprise for you."

"What kind of surprise?" he asked I could hear the tension in his voice

"The red lacy kind and maybe we'll go off on the yacht like you've been begging for."

"Um I have some meetings to go to." He said and I laughed

"I miss you." I said softly

"I miss you too, I'll call you later."

"Ok." I said then we hung up the words I love you were on the tip of my tongue but even though we've known each other and been friends for almost ten years it was too soon I knew that. I put my phone back into my pocket and went back to finish help setting up for the party

As Gianna walked back to the kitchen Rachel stepped out of the bathroom with a smirk on her face. She had heard everything, she followed Gianna wondering what was so secretive about a phone call. Now she knew Gianna was sleeping with her "boss". She couldn't wait to tell Happy, he was still hung up on her once he found this out they would be over and he might finally cover up her name and put his Crow on her. To some people Happy was a scary guy but she saw right through him he was just protective and there's nothing wrong with that. Happy was going to be hers finally
