Janae's POV
Dr. Jin was getting Roman to do his core exercises while I sat in the window and watched. Roman just laid there and that's what he would do to signal he was down. He had been working on up body so that he can start getting in and out of his chair himself this week and he was exhausted. His goal is to be able to lift Tati soon and that's what we were working toward. He could lift and maneuver 10 pounds so far. Tati was 20, so it was not too far. "You did well today Roman. I will be back Monday afternoon and we will do the work. You're doing well though. Enjoy the break this weekend. I want you to take it easy." He smiled.
"Okay." Roman nodded and raised his bed. The doctor left and Roman smiled at me. I smiled back and yawned. "Do you want lunch now?" I asked. He shrugged. He had been quiet since I walked in at the beginning of his session. "What's on your mind right now Roman?" I asked.
"I want to go home." He looked at me.
"Well that's what we're all working towards." I smiled and looked for his shirt.
"No, I want to go home now. I want to just do this shit at home." He motioned around.
"Roman, we live in a two story house. You coming home as much as I want you home I really do. I would love for us to go back to everything, but babe you can't." I explained."Then we'll move into your place. It's one story." He shrugged.
"The house is too small."
"How it's just us and the girls. That's 5 people in a three bedroom. We were just fine."
"Where are Dre and Alessia and from time to time Val going to sleep? Do you expect them to come early in the morning and leave late at night? You will then need to transfer all the care you get here into home care somehow. Doctor and nurses will be in and out all day long. It's a decent size three bedroom, but not big enough for all of that."
"Why would Dre, Alessia, and Val need to be there around the clock?" He looked confused.
"Roman, my love where do you think the girls are at when I'm here?" I asked.
"I know they're with my mom until Val gets off and then he takes them." He thought.
"Roman, I could not have Tati and Eva up here all the time. When everything first happened of course they were here because Tati was primarily still being breast fed. Eva used to ask for you every day. I would bring them here, but Tati would sit in her seat and chill out and your mom would have Eva downstairs. Yes, the girls had their own intensive security teams that loved them, but it wasn't until like month 2 I had them set up a play pen out there for them to not have to be in here constantly. Most days Dre or Val was bringing them to me and taking them home at night because I was gone before they woke up and would not be back before bedtime. Then once Adrian came home I was there morning or nights, but not until everyone started saying their goodbyes I was there to kiss them good morning or cuddle them and read them bedtime stories. Then Adrian came home and was healthy and there was an extra level of my duties. Alessia, Dre, and Val were there to fill in those spots. I mean granted don't get me wrong Alessia is supposed to mother Adrian because she's her child. Val is supposed to father Tati because she is his daughter. Dre is their God-father and Uncle, but he has cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner for these girls for months. He make sure the house is cleaned and entertains the babies when their home with them. I had to explain to him that it's okay he didn't have to sleep on the floor of the nursery because they can sleep on their own and he was undoing all of our hard work sleeping training. Alessia took over everything from Adrian. She school runs, dance even when she'd just sit there for an hour, take her to work with her, monitored her and Zariah's podcast page and whatever posts were made on it, and would drop her off with Val for her shifts. Val made sure every single one of us stuck to schedules. He would get the girls home, make sure Adrian's homework was done by dinner, and do the entire bedtime routine for the babies. Those three have been a very crucial part in making sure our family stays a float."
