Zariah's POV:

I ran and jumped on my Uncle's bed. It was Saturday morning and I wanted cereal. Daddy was gone, so he was the closest grown up. I poked his cheek and he pushed my hand away. I climbed on him and hugged him tight. "Good morning Z, what do you need?" He mumbled and looked at him alarm clock. "At 8 in the morning on a weekend."
"Breakfast and cartoons please." I smiled.
"Of course, latch on we're going on an adventure." He got up and I climbed on his back. We went downstairs and to the kitchen. He set me on the counter and went to the cabinet. "Do you want Mini Wheats?"
"Daddy makes me French toast on Saturdays."
"I don't know how to make French toast. Do you want cinnamon toast crunch?"
"Okay." He fixed two bowls and managed to carry them both upstairs with me holding the spoons. We climbed on his bed and he set a tray under my bowl so I wouldn't spill. He turned his TV on to cartoons for me. I finished my cereal and handed him my bowl. "Do you have videos of my mommy?" I asked him. He thought for a second he got up and when in his closet. He came back with a shoe box. "You know your mommy used to put nots in my backpack. I never knew when she did it, but she always managed to sneak them in there. At first I was embarrassed because my friends would see."
"What does embarrassed mean?" I asked.
"It means I was scared that my friends would think I was a baby."
    "Oh."
"I liked the notes though. I got over it after a while. They were the highlight of my day."
"Will you read them to me?" I asked. He nodded and read note after note to me. I just listened and smiled at him. I started to get sleepy again and scooted closed to him. I laid next to him and went to sleep.

I was sitting in the living room watching TV while I waited for daddy to finish mowing the front and backyard so we could play in the backyard. "Hey Kookaburra, can you come outside real quick?" I got up and went to see what he needed. When I got outside and saw who was out there I screamed. I ran out to my Uncle who was sitting on the roof of his car. He stood up and smiled at me. I jumped on him and swung me around. He laughed and hugged me. I could hear daddy laughing in the yard. "Welcome back Uncle Roman! When did you get home?  Where's my Auntie? Did you have fun? Daddy said you would have a baby when you came home. Are you and Auntie Nae going to have a baby? Did you bring me a present back? You said you'd bring me something back." I smiled.

"We got back home yesterday. She is sleeping because traveling is exhausting, but I wanted to see my favorite niece. I missed you so much." He kissed my forehead. "I had so much fun. It was an amazing time. Auntie Nae and I are not having a baby for a long times, but when we do you will be the first to know."

"Promise? I'll know before daddy?" I laughed.

"Of course Janae and I will know first and I will tell you immediately." He winked. "Anyway have I ever gone anywhere and not brought you a gift back? To the trunk!" He carried me to the trunk of his car. He opened the door and there was a wrapped gift. He set me down and I opened it. Inside was a wooden box with flowers carved on it. "This is so pretty. Thank you so much Uncle Roman." I hugged him.

"You're welcome very much Z. It's actually a secret lock box. There's a compartment in there, but you have to figure out how to open it." He smiled at me.

   "Do you know how to?"

"Janae and I spend our whole vacation trying to open it. I figure it out, but I didn't tell her. I will not tell you. When you figure it out though, let me know what you find." He winked.

"You put something in here?" I grinned.

"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. Let me know what you find. I have to head back home now, but you are spending the weekend with your favorite Uncle and Auntie. We are going to have so much fun okay?" I hugged him tightly.
