Janae's POV
We had an appointment the very next day we got back from Beau and we both were nervous for it. Roman and I were walking out of my doctor's appointment and I was still teetering on the line to bed rest. I had gained weight and the babies were getting bigger. That was really good. My blood pressure was still a big concern. I was 5 months now and we were trying to figure out the genders at the appointment, but neither baby would allow that to happen. We did get to see them moving some which was nice. It was as if one was shielding the other from us which was amusing to see. I could feel them and that was new since there were two. I was concerned about my belly not being big, but Dr. Adam suspects that unlike the other two pregnancies the twins are sitting lower and towards my back which would explain the ridiculous amount of peeing and excruciating back pain daily. He opened his car door for me and got it. When he got in we just sat there for a second before driving. He pulled out and we road home in silence. When we got home Darian was chilling on the couch watching TV with Eva. He volunteered to babysit, but I think he and Dontae are on the outs again. I went to my room and Roman followed closing the door. My phone started to ring and I laid down. "Hello."
"Hey babes, game night you and Roman still coming?" Christina asked.
"Kids or no kids?" I rubbed my head.
"No kids."
"I have to see if one of the grandparents can babysit."
"Oh I literally was just talking to Darian he said he wanted a night in with the Eva."
"Oh, um Roman game night?" I looked over to him looking down at his phone.
"What time?" He had a meeting later tonight.
"7."
"Ok, we'd have to start getting ready now."
"Yay, I haven't seen you in forever, see you soon lovey." I hung up and went to the closet. I grabbed some leggings and a loose crew neck. I took my top off and went to the bathroom. Roman was in there and I sat on the stool. "I need you to rub my back."
"We can stay home." He suggested.
"No, it's okay." I felt him work my back. I leaned my head back and he kept going. It felt nice and I dreaded that he might stop soon. I saw him staring in the mirror and I followed his eye line. He was staring at my belly. "I want to try something." He stopped. "Your back has been hurting more since the babies are growing and your belly gets bigger?"
"Yes, but that's only part of it."
"Here stand up." I did slowly and he wrapped his arms around me and the bump. It wasn't this biggest, but he gently pushed it up so he was holding the weight. This helped some, but enough to ease the pain just enough to make the rest tolerable. We sat like this for 10 minutes and he didn't complain. "I bought some kinesis tape to help, but it lifts your belly and they it can't be hidden."
"Then I'll just wear it at night."
"Why? This will help you now."
"Nobody is supposed to know." I sigh.
"You're 5 months Janae. You barely hide it anymore. The twins are only getting bigger. You are going to show even more soon. You can't hide this anymore."
"I don't want to argue." I moved his hands off of me. "You had to ruin a decent moment."
"I'm not the one who ruined it. You don't want to acknowledge the truth for what it is. Why hide our babies?"
"Roman, get ready." I slipped my crew neck over my head.
"Wear your dad's crew neck instead of your own. I would hate for there to be any evidence of my children. I'm in the car when you're ready." He left the room and I stared at myself in the mirror. I just rubbed my belly and sighed. "Daddy and I will get it together for you 5. I promise." I shook my head and went grab the sweater. When we got to Christina's house she was putting up some stuff still and just talking while finishing. Dom, Hailee and her husband, Leo and Leena, Sean, and Will were all here sitting around. Christina came in the room smiling and Tyler came and just hugged her from behind. They looked so happy together. She was the wild outrageous one and he is the calm collected one. They work. "Oh, since we're all here. There is probably no better time to tell you." She opened her cardigan revealing a very pregnant belly. We all were shocked, but happy for her. I remembered her telling me about her ectopic pregnancy and how we sat and cried together because I was not able to be there for her. "Congratulations love, but um thanks for not telling your best friend." I teased seeing Roman roll his eyes out of the corner of my eye.
