"Baby-Wolf"
***
Oliver's mother was named Audrey Sanchez.
She had the same hair as he did, wild, and curly- sticking up in all directions but still managing to somehow look good. She would smile at everything, thinking that you should always smile unless you were given a reason not to... well today, Oliver was given a reason not to.
But still, the last thing that he was expecting to recieve today was a phone call from Derek Hale.
He was walking home, sincd Stiles had driven him this morning, and he was sure he looked like some sort of criminal. With his baseball bat, sullen look, and black hoodie, he wouldn't be surprised if people avoided him.
"What the fuck, Scott," he mumbled under his breath, scowling and kicking a rock. "Stupid wolf-boy, with his stupid secrets and his stupid-" he trailed off, his fists clenched tightly. He was pissed off to say the least. He just wanted to have a normal frickin' school year, and now not only is he a psychic, he is also all roped in to keeping Scott's weird wolf secret. If that little asshole just stayed inside that night, or better yet, if Stiles had woken him up, then maybe he would be talking to his cousin right now.
He continued to stomp down the road, glowering at nothing. He was mentally thinking of all of the nearest bridges he could jump off of, when a sudden and loud ring made him jump. He rolled his eyes, fishing his phone from his pocket, not even looking at the number before answering. "What?"
"Sanchez?"
"Yeah, who the fuck is calling?"
"It's Derek. I need you to meet me at the animal shelter as soon as possible."
Ollie sighed deeply, running his hand through his hair as he looked around. He was literally walking through the middle of nowhere, how the hell was he supposed to get to the goddamn animal shelter? Better yet, why the hell did Derek Hale want him to go to the goddamn animal shelter?
"Why do I have to come?"
"Because I need your sight."
"Get glasses!"
"You know that's not what I meant!"
Oliver groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose and trying to pinpoint the exact time his life went to shit. He continued walking as he spoke on the phone, glancing around to try and find a street sign or something. He passed a house with a bunch of kids playing basketball, and opened his mouth to speak to Derek again.
"On a scale from one to ten: one being you could get a papercut, ten being the end of the world is coming if I don't... what would this situation be?"
He heard Derek mumble a complex array of curse words under his breath, before his voice came back into focus. "Just get here. If you are late I will not hesitate to cut out your throat."
"Jokes on you, I would love that."
Ollie's eyes traveled back over to the kids playing basketball, and he tilted his head lightly to the side. It was a group of teenage boys- too young to be in highschool, which accounted for why he didn't recognize them, and looked over at the rack of bicycles lined up next to them.
