"Bodyguard"

***

"Ollie!"

At first, Oliver didn't even hear it when a voice called his name. He was too hyper-focused on scribbling down notes for an English paper that was due tomorrow... and he hadn't started. He had spent all of the previous night thinking of excuses, and only this morning actually started writing his report.

"Ollie!" The voice repeated, and the boy rose his head, turning around in a full circle before finding the source. Lydia Martin and Allison Argent were walking toward him, the former with a large grin on her face. Ollie blinked once in confusion, since seeing Lydia in a public setting was so foreign to him, before a smile tugged at his lips and he took a few steps forward.

"Well, well, well-" he drawled, stuffing his papers into his backpack so he could lean down to hug the redhead. He gave her a quick once over, but nothing really seemed different about the girl... well, she didn't look anymore muscular or incredibly stupid, which were two of Scott's main side effects from the werewolf bite. "Feelin' better?"

"Does it look like I'm feeling better?" She asked, spreading her arms apart sarcastically. "How about you, get in anymore fights lately?"

 "Oh, just the usual."

Allison rested her hand on the door of the school, before hesitating and turning back to Lydia, her eyebrows pinched in concern. "Are you sure you're ready for this?"

Lydia scoffed, as if Allison had just asked the most ridiculous question in the world. "Please, it's not like my aunt's a serial killer." She drawled, before pushing past Allison into the crowded hallway. The brunette took a moment to shoot Ollie an incredulous look, before following.

Inside, everything had gone silent. It was as if the entire student body made the collective decision to make Lydia as uncomfortable as they possibly could, as they all froze in their spot to try and catch a glimpse of the girl.

Ollie rolled his eyes, before taking a step to the side and sliding his bag off of his shoulder, swinging it back and hitting the metal rim of the door with it, suceeding in creating a loud bang that made Allison jump about a million feet in the air. "Go stalk someone else, losers!"

The crowd slowly began to disperse, and Ollie grinned to himself. If there was one thing he missed about school during his time in the hospital, it was scaring kids. He turned to Lydia, brushing his hair from his face and saluting. "Good luck."

"Yeah..." She paused, as if thinking of what to say next. "Thanks."

Ollie just winked playfully, turning on his heel. He said one more thing before he walked away.
