"How To Sue Your Brain"
***
Oliver laid his head against his desk, his eyes closed. Anyone looking at him would think that he is asleep, but the reality was much different.
He was stressing.
A lot had happened in the past twenty four hours. First of all, he learned the Derek wasn't actually dead, and he was, in fact, just a fugitive. Tying into that, Scott apologized to Ollie for about a day and a half about what an asshole he'd been on the full moon, to the point that the boy had to slap him to get him to shut up. Adding on to the fugitive thing, Stiles, Scott, and Katrin were currently doing a high-speed car chase or something along those lines to try and lead the Argent's away from Derek.
Had he mentioned that Derek was alive? Because Derek was alive.
Now, it is a well known fact that Oliver's parents had died in a car crash, although the fact that was less known was that he refused to drive even a mile over the speed limit because of it. He was constantly chatsised for it, but he still got sweaty hands and a naseous feeling in his stomach whenever he was in a vehicle that he himself was not driving. In fact, he only trusted four people in the world to drive him anyway. These people? Stiles, Scott, Katrin, and Nicole. Other than that, if you are in a car with Oliver Sanchez, he would be driving.
So you could say that he was more than a little freaked out. It didn't help his anxiety that he was pretty sure Katrin would be driving in this car chase, and he heard her yell "yippie ki-yay motherfuckers!" Before they left.
So what was he doing? He was studying for his biology test.
With who? None other than Lydia Martin.
"Ollie!"
His head jerked up in surprise at the sudden exclamation, as the redhead rose one perfectly plucked eyebrows. "Are you okay?" She asked from her spot on Ollie's extra chair. His cat jumped up on his lap, and he jumped again, relaxing when Simba snarted nuzzling his palm. "Huh? What? I'm fine."
Lydia shot him a disbelieving look, moving her chair forward so she could pet the cat, smiling. "Really? Because you look like you want to die."
He laughed lightly. "I get that a lot."
"So-" Lydia grabbed her textbook, flipping through it for a moment. Ollie thought she was going to start talking about biology, but she just nervously cleared her throat. "Have you - uh - spoke to Jackson lately? Like, at all?"
"No offense, Lydia, but I try to avoid talking to Jackson as much as I can."
She snorted lightly, brushing a piece of hair from her face. "He's just been acting super weird lately. I would have thought it was just stress from lacrosse or something-" her eyes met his. "Hey, did you know that Scott's like, a co-captain now?"
