Brooklyn: How do I look?

You: Good.

Brooklyn: I have to look nice.

You: I'm sure they won't care if you just wear something comfortable. You didn't bring many outfits to choose from anyway.

There's a knock at the door.

You: I got it. Figure out what you're doing.

You head toward the door, a little more cautiously than you probably need to. When you open it, the woman on the other side, around your age, you assume, yelps and hides whatever she's holding. It's large but also looks like it's covering something underneath.

You: Hello.

Unknown Woman: Hi, Y/N.

Y/N... She knows you. You might get that a lot around here.

You: Who are you?

Unknown Woman: Oh, it's gonna be like that, huh?

You tilt your head to the right.

You: I'm sorry, I just don't remember you.

Unknown Woman: Lena, maid of honor.

You: Right. You're the maid of honor.

Lena: Brooklyn's BEST friend.

You would argue that if you could tell her about the other world.

You: Right, Lena, how are you?

Lena: I came by to show Brooklyn the dress. You know it's bad luck to see it before the big day.

You: I think it'll be fine.

Lena: Can I just come in? I haven't seen you guys in a while.

You: Uh, sure. We have to leave soon, but I guess you can stay until then.

You step aside and let her through. How are you supposed to hide the fact that Brooklyn won't know who she is? It's already odd enough you didn't.

Lena: Oh my God, you look so much older!

No, you haven't seen her in her thirties yet. She doesn't look old at all.

Brooklyn: Hey... You.

You: Lena, how about you hang that dress up in another room. The closet or something, maybe.

Lena: We're going to try it on.

Brooklyn: Oh, sorry, Lena, we kind of have a dinner planned with my family soon.

Lena: Really? Man, and I went to all this effort to find where you were.

Freak.

Brooklyn: Maybe we can hang out during the day tomorrow. We have another with Y/N's family that night as well, but the day is all free.

Lena: So you guys aren't really doing this traditionally, huh?

Brooklyn: Not at all.

With you only be allowed to be gone for a certain amount of time, you can't do things normally. You'll have the wedding on the last day you're here, and then you'll be on your way home. You'll have dinner the other two nights with each of your families.

Lena: I guess that makes sense. Where's your ring?

Oh shit. Where did you put yours? It's in the bag, right?

Brooklyn: We have them in our bags. Didn't want them getting snagged on anything on the way over. Just haven't put them on yet.

Lena: Right. So, I heard you guys came in on a private jet.
