Brooklyn's POV...

They're on a roof now, everything moving faster than I can comprehend. It looks like the Walkers aren't actually walkers. One of them even jumped at Y/N. I'm sure this isn't how he foresaw this going. I feel bad for him. I have no doubt he's freaking out. It doesn't look or sound good. I don't know what's going on entirely, but he said Emma couldn't just pull him out.

Emma: Right, yeah, but he just said-

Some scientist or something: Yes, but he doesn't know anything about how the machine works. Neither does the president.

Emma: You're right, but she could have people pulling strings we don't know about.

Same random guy: Emma, we can't leave him in there. We don't know what's happening.

Emma: What happens if we pull him out? We don't know what it'll do because we don't know what's happening like you said.

He sighs.

One of those higher-ups she's always talking about: Fine. Keep an eye on him and update us if anything happens.

Emma: Yes, sir.

He leaves the room in a hurry. I don't think he even looked at Clementine or me.

Emma is frustrated. I can see it in her movements, and it's practically painted on her face. She might as well be holding up a sign saying, "Hey, I'm extremely stressed out right now."

Emma: This situation is horrible.

Clem: Does anyone have any leads?

Emma: All we know is that it's not naturally happening, we're not doing it, and that the president said we couldn't just pull Y/N out.

I'm worried for him. Nothing looks good about this. I want him to make it out, alive and unharmed, but also, what about Marina. She's stuck in there. If anything happens to her, I don't know what it'll do to him.

Emma: Anything is possible right now. It could be something we have to do, something he has to do, or something we all need to do. I wish we had more to go on.

Me: Can I go in?

I don't even think before I say it. I just... Say it.

Emma: That's not a good idea.

Me: But what if he needs help. You saw that Walker jump at him, right? Someone is manipulating the world.

Emma: He has admin privileges. Therefore, he is invulnerable.

Me: Yeah, but if someone is manipulating the world, they could take those away, right?

She pauses for a second.

Me: I'm going to assume Walkers weren't programmed to run and jump. That's not intended.

Emma: No. We can't risk two of you getting stuck in there.

Clem: I think it's a good idea. We could both go.

Emma: You would not survive the entrance, let alone being in there for an extended amount of time.

Clem: Why not?

Emma: Your body is still recovering from being in there last time.

No, it isn't. She's dying.

Emma: Your body wouldn't be able to handle going in.

She looks a little disappointed. From the sound of it, she's not going to let me go in either, anyway.
