Chapter 54

I decided not to tell Drake about Chris because I knew that he would freak out. I mean, he didn't tell me at first about the weird letter, right?

As soon as we got home though, I went upstairs and called Chris.

"Hello," He said into the phone.

"What the fuck are you doing talking to Tamara and giving her stuff?" I demanded.

"She's my daughter, too. I can give her what I want." Chris replied back.

"You're supposed to ask me first, and I have to approve." I said.

"Well, sorry then. I just wanted to surprise her." Chris said.

"Yeah, you can surprise her, but you could've just told me. I could have just not told her about it." I said in a sarcastic tone.

"Oops. Sorry." Chris said sarcastically.

"What the hell are you doing in Canada anyways? And how'd you know we were here?" I asked.

"I actually didn't know. I just noticed Tamara. I'm here for work purposes." Chris said.

"And you just happened to have a necklace for Tamara laying around?" I said sarcastically.

"Well, I know someone in Canada, and they said that Drake came to Canada with his family or whatever. So, I decided to get that for her." Chris said.

"Mm. Okay." I said, not really believing him.

"Yeah. I want to hang out with Tamara though." Chris said.

"Well, maybe I can find time for that." I said, nervous about if I should let Chris be with her or not.

"Alright, well let me know when you're free." Chris said.

That's when Drake came in the room.

"Okay. Well talk to you later." I said, ending the conversation so Drake wouldn't know who I was talking to.

Drake waited until I put my phone down before he spoke.

"Tamara was so exhausted, she fell asleep as soon as she sat down on the couch." Drake said.

"Oh wow," I laughed. "Well, are you going to be doing any work in Canada?"

Drake thought for a second. "Nah, nothing serious. I might meet up with some fans or something. I'm not going to be going to the studio or anything. You wanna come though if I do meet up with some fans?"

"Sure, I'd love to. That'd seem cool."

"I was actually wondering if you'd like to do another collaboration with me? Since we're dating, you know it'll be good for us. You could incorporate some dancing into it also. Maybe we could even let Tamara join in the video." Drake suggested.

I laughed. "Sure. We could do that."

Drake picked up his phone, and I saw that he had clicked on the Twitter. I guess he was about to tweet about being in Canada and wanting to meet up with some fans.

"Well, did you find any leads in the whole 'mysterious notes' thing?" I asked.

"Our first suspect is Chris. The people we hired had saw him in New York around the time that the notes started coming to our door steps. We're actually working on catching him now. But, no one can find him at his house or in New York." Drake replied.

I instantly got nervous. Only because I knew that Chris was in Canada and Drake didn't know. But like Drake said, Chris was in New York at the time that the notes started. Did Chris write these letters? I mean, he did find Tamara at the park. Was he watching this whole time?
