I gulped. As soon as I walked threw the door, my eyes met the barrel of the gun which was sitting on the table. Chris was standing up next to the table, and when he saw me come in, he grabbed the gun and put it behind his back.
"Dani..." He smiled creepily.
"Chris," I replied, trying to hide my fear.
"Come sit," He said calmly.
"I'll sit if you tell me what you're planning on doing with that gun behind your back," I replied, not moving from where I was standing.
"Still won't listen to instructions, I see." Chris said, moving closer to me.
I wanted to move back, but I knew that it would just make it worse. I was less than a foot away from the wall. Backing up would just limit my chances of getting out of here even more.
"What are you going to do?" I asked once Chris stood directly in front of me, making me have to look up to see his face.
"Nothing, as long as you listen to me," Chris grabbed my arm and turned me around so that my back was against his chest. His face was near my neck and now he had the gun pointed toward my head.
"Chris..." I said, afraid to continue my sentence.
"Shut up!" Chris yelled in my face, gripping my arm tighter.
I could smell the alcohol on his breath. He had been drinking today too.
He gestured toward the stairs. I began to walk, but he still held his position behind me.
I walked up the stairs and he told me to go to the bedroom. He commanded me to sit in the small chair he had placed in the room while he went to grab something else. He tied my arms to the chair, duct taped my mouth, and blindfolded my eyes before leaving.
Once he left, I just sat there. It was useless. I guess I would have to endure whatever Chris was going to do to me until I was able to get out of these restraints. I just hoped that it wouldn't take that long. A few minutes after Chris had left, though, I heard a voice. It was in the distance though so I couldn't understand what it had said.
Soon it came closer to me and whispered in my ear, "Dani, it's Michael. Don't worry, I'm going to get you out of here." Michael said while quickly untying me. First he took off my blindfold and put his finger to his lips motioning to be quiet. He then took off my tape and untied me. He did another hand gesture that I interpreted as 'stay here, don't move'. I nodded to inform him that I understood. Michael was wearing a mask and gloves, I don't even know why. He also had a gun, which made me feel a lot better that Chris wasn't the only one with a weapon. Now that I realize it, I actually had a lot of questions for Michael.
After about ten minutes, I heard the sounds of things breaking and soon, a gun shot. It made me gasp. Soon, I heard another gun shot. It made me gasp again. I didn't want to get up, though. One was because I was afraid to go downstairs and see what I would see. Second, Michael had told me not to.
After about two minutes though, I heard Michael yell to me from upstairs. "Dani, come downstairs. Help me!" He yelled.
I quickly got up and ran downstairs. I saw Chris in the living room on the ground with a gun wound in his back. But when I moved a little closer to the kitchen, Michael was walking toward the bathroom holding his chest. He, too, had a bullet wound. I grabbed his phone out of his back pocket to call the police while I also applied pressure to his wound.
The police got to my house in about ten minutes, and the ambulance was carrying Michael and Chris on a stretcher in another minute. I rode in the ambulance with Michael, and I called Jaycee.
