"You're doing wonderful," I told the class. "And one, two, three four! Alright, that's a wrap. Break time, and when we come back, we'll go over it again and do it with the music."
I went to my bag and grabbed a bottle of water, taking a sip and grabbing my phone. I had a few missed calls from Jaycee and a text message.
Oh my god, Dani! Please call me as soon as you can. It's super important. It's about Michael.
Right before I began dialing Jaycee's number, my receptionist called me over.
"Dani, sorry to bother you, but you have a visitor." She said, moving away to allow me to see Drake standing near the doorway.
"Um, hey Drake." I said, allowing him to come inside.
"Hey Dani, I was actually thinking that maybe we could chill out today. But I see your busy." Drake said, putting his hands in his pockets.
"Um, yeah, kind of. I'll be done in about fifteen though." I said, putting my water and phone back in the bag.
"Alright, let's take it from the top," I went over the dance once more without the music. After I saw that everyone had the dance down pack, I turned on the music. They all did great.
"Alright, we'll meet up same time next week." I said, dismissing the class.
I began to pack my bags.
"So, where are we going? Because I would love to go home and take a shower first," I said, taking a water out of the refrigerator.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I guess we could do that then. Um, you go ahead and head home. Put on something casual and I'll come by to pick you up at around 5." Drake said, looking down at his watch. It read 3:34.
I agreed, and we went our separate ways. I had to call Wayne and ask him to keep Tamara for a little longer. Of course they didn't mind. I went home, showered, and put on this: (MM)
By time I was done with that, it was 4:30. I had no clue where Drake was taking me, or why he was even doing this in the first place. But I didn't want to decline his offer, so I guess I would have to be surprised.
At 4:45, Drake pulled up in my driveway. I opened the door and allowed him to come inside.
"Nice place. You sure moved out of Chris' apartment fast. It seem like you've been settled here for years." Drake said looking around at the photos I had on the tables and walls.
"Thanks, " I said, not really knowing if to take that as a compliment.
"Alright, so you ready to go?" Drake asked, looking down at his watch. It seemed like he was in a hurry now.
"Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go." I grabbed my purse, following behind Drake and locking up the house.
As Drake started driving, the route went from streets that I was used to seeing everyday to a whole new town that I had never been to. I didn't even remember its name. He pulled up into a driveway at what looked like a diner.
"Drake, we really came all the way out here to go to a diner?" I asked, as he opened my door for me.
"Shh, just go with it," Drake shushed me, grabbing my hand and taking me into the diner.
"Hey Aubrey," A man standing near the kitchen said to Drake before we sat down.
It had been a while since I had heard someone called Drake by his real name.
I was still confused, but one thing I did know was that everyone at the diner knew Drake more than just as a rapper.
"Hello, my name is Sandra and I will be your waitress. Can I start you guys off with any drinks?" A lady asked, taking her notepad out getting ready to write.
"Pepsi please," I said, picking up the menu.
"Same here. And, uh, could you get a bottle of champagne. Only the finest, you know," Drake flashed his million dollar smile.
"Sure, anything for you, Mr. Graham. The waitress smiled back at us both before walking away.
"So are you going to tell me why everyone seems to know you here?" I asked, still deciding what I wanted.
"You see, Dani, I'm not only a rapper/singer/composer. I am also an entrepreneur. I own this diner." Drake said and smiled again.
"Really? That's great. I'm proud. How long?" I asked, looking around the diner. It was so beautiful in appearance and everything was running smoothly.
"Almost three years," Drake said.
"Wow. I don't think I could ever do anything like this for my dance studio. The only reason why I own it is because it was my grandmother's and she knew that I loved dancing so she gave it to me in her will." I replied.
"I'm sure you could," Drake said as a gentleman sat an expensive champagne bottle on the table and gave us two flutes. He then opened the bottle and thanked us for coming.
Drake poured us both some champagne, and we took a sip.
"So why'd you bring me here?" I asked.
Drake looked up with a confused face. "What, you don't want to be here?" He asked.
"No, no, of course not. I mean, why did you decide today to bring me to your diner?" I tried to explain.
"What, two friends can't hang out together?" Drake joked.
"Yeah, we can, I guess." I ended the conversation.
The silence was beginning to get awkward, but thank god the waitress came back to ask us for our orders.
"Bring us my special order, if you don't mind me ordering for you," Drake looked up at me.
"No, it's fine." I said.
"Okay," the waitress smiled and walked away.

"Dinner was wonderful Drake, thanks for bringing me here."
"No problem baby girl."
Drake drove me home.
"Text me later Dani, it was nice spending the evening with you," He said as I was getting out of the car.
"Same here," I said, walking up to my door step.
When I got inside, I got dressed in something more comfortable.
I laid down underneath my bed covers and watched TV. Right before I was about to shut the TV off and go to sleep, I got a text message from Drake.
"Hey, you still up?"
"Yeah."
"What are you doing?"
"Laying down watching TV, what about you?"
"Same."
"I want to ask you a question."
"What is it?"
"Why me? Why didn't you bring Trina with you to the diner?"
"She was busy, and she doesn't really like stuff like that anyways. She likes eating at the finest restaurants,"
"Ohh. Okay"
"Well I'm going to go to bed. I'll text you later."
"Alright. Night Drake."
"Night Dani."
For some reason, I wanted Drake's response to be different from what he had said. I didn't want to be a replacement for Trina. I thought that he might still have feelings for me. I guess I'm wrong. Maybe I'm the only one who still has feelings.
