3 Weeks Later

Ever since the trial, Jason and I have been going on a rocky path. We've both been really stressed and have been arguing almost every day. I honestly think that it's his fault for why I lost Tamara. We were so certain that I would keep full custody. Now that it's not like that, I don't know what to do.

Every night, I worry about my little girl. Chris came and picked up all of her things, so the only things I have of her are pictures. Every time that Jason is not around, I cry. I miss my little girl. She is my everything.

Luckily, Chris hasn't been such an ass about the whole custody change. I get on FaceTime with Tamara almost every night before she goes to bed. Although I am lucky to see her, it's not even close to being enough. Tamara doesn't seem to be so upset, though. I guess she hasn't really understood that she won't be able to live with me anymore.

Getting on Instagram and twitter, I'm always seeing pictures or videos of Chris and Tamara together. The fans just see it as father-daughter bond, but I see it as bragging. Chris bragging over the fact that he has custody over Tamara. The press has pointed it back to me as if I am the bad guy. Rumors of Jason being a criminal and of me planning out the whole Chris and me incident to make him seem as if he did something wrong. It's just sickening.

"Dani," Jason called out as he walked through the door.

"Yes?" I asked, wiping the tears as I put the picture frame of Tamara and me back on the table.

"Drake wants to speak to you. He's been calling the house phone, asking for you to pick up." J said sarcastically, walking into our bedroom where I was sitting on the bed.

"Drake? I haven't spoken to him in months." I said confused. I walked over to the nightstand where a house phone was sitting on the charger.

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Hey Dan," Drake said, a little sadness in his voice.

"Hey Aubrey. It's been a while." I replied, watching Jason as he listened to the conversation I was having with Drake.

"Yeah, I just felt like it was necessary to call just in case you ever needed someone to talk to. I'm really sorry about Tamara." Drake pleaded. I could really hear the sincerity in his voice.

"Thanks for the call. It's good to know that I still have someone to talk to. But yeah, it's been pretty rough. I don't even know what to do," I said, giving Jason a look that said 'why the fuck are you still standing here?'

He got my message and walked out of the room.

"I understand.. I really wish I could help. But why did the court rule in his favor?" Aubrey asked confused. He didn't understand why they would think I would be an unfit parent either.

"Jason...and some criminal history," I whispered into the phone. I didn't want Jason to know that I was talking about him. Although it was true.

"Damn. I'm really sorry to hear that. He should've told you. You probably wouldn't have even bothered taking him to court if you knew you were making that risk." Aubrey said.

"I know. And he's the one who told me to take him to court." I whispered again.

"Hold on...what the fuck? If he knew all that bullshit..why would he do that to you? That's some real fucked up shit. Dani, are you sure that nigga wasn't plotting?" Drake asked, now furious.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked confused.

"Making this whole plan up so that Tamara could be taken away from you. I mean, he probably didn't like the interaction between Chris and you, and Tamara isn't his, so he could care less about her." Drake explained.

I paused for a moment. Could this really be true? "I don't know.. I don't think he would do that." I tried to defend J.

"I don't know, Dani. Maybe you should investigate that a little more." Drake informed me.

"I will. But how's you and Trina and your daughter?" I asked, changing the subject away from me.

"That's a long story Dani. To make it short, she lied this whole time. I guess after I found out Tamara wasn't mine and Trina popped up telling me that I indeed did have a daughter, I just automatically believed her. I knew Trina was always messing around with other guys, but I wasn't smart enough to get Arianna tested too. Basically, Trina's whole plan was to get with me for the money. I have to admit that I did spend a lot on her and Ari. But once I found out Ari wasn't mine, I cut her off completely." Drake explained.

"Wow, I guess we both just have a lot going on." I said shocked.

"Yeah, but I guess I'm over it. It was hard at first, but I'm used to getting my heart broken." Drake replied.

That part stung a little. Although he probably didn't mean for it to be like that, I know that he was also referring to me. I felt so guilty.

"Damn, I'm sorry." I said, not really knowing what else to say.

" It's fine, now I just want to help you get Tamara back." Drake said a little happier.

"Alright, thanks. I'll take what you said earlier into consideration." I said, hanging up the phone.

Drake's plan did make a sense. There is a possibility that Jason could have set this whole thing up. I mean, what would make Chris even think to put Jason's background check as evidence?

Plan A: Go into Jason'a phone to investigate any suspicious behavior.

I waited until it was night time and Jason was getting tired. He went upstairs, took a shower, and laid down to go to bed. I did the same. The side of the bed I slept on was right next to the nightstand. Jason's phone was on the charger right next to mine.

I figured that I would just lay there until Jason fell asleep. Then, I would go through his phone.

However, Jason had other plans in mind.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and began to kiss my neck as his hands began to trail inside of my shorts.

"Bae, not tonight." I said, faking a yawn.

"C'mon Bae, I haven't touched you in weeks." Jason said as he began to gently nibble on my neck.

"I'm really tired. Please." I said in a sleepy voice.

Jason sucked his teeth and turned around so that his back was inches away from mine.

An hour or so later, I heard light snores from Jason's side of the room.

My chance.

I went over to the nightstand and picked up Jason's phone. I already knew the passcode, so unlocking the phone was easy. I went through text messages and contacts, but Chris' name wasn't anywhere to be found.

However, as I went through the threads in his text messages, I spotted a number that was listed under:

B ®332y

Breezy.

Wow. I found those characters really childish of Jason, but I ignored my thoughts as I clicked the message thread and began scrolling through the text messages:

J: alright, so our plan in action. You sure this gonna work?

B: It will. Trust me. Dani is easier than she seems. She's like a mouse and cheese. She's never faster than the trap.

J: haha. Well, if the judge makes her keep custody, then what we gon do?

B: like I said.. Don't worry about all that. Everything's covered. Soon, Tamara will be out your way and I'll be happy. Then you can make a replacement, and it'll be like Tamara was never there.

J: yea, I can't wait.

That was all I needed to see. I couldn't believe Jason would do this to me. First, take Tamara from me. Then try to get me pregnant so we could have a replacement. I was utterly disgusted with Jason.
