Jason

So it was about an hour before i would meet up with Dani. I had just showered and was looking for clothes. I was looking for a specific pair of sneakers that I hadn't worn in a while. I figured that they had to be in the basement. Once I went down there, I went through a few boxes and finally found them. Right next to the box with the sneakers in it was a photo album. I opened the photo album and there were pictures of my fiancee when she was pregnant with Ethan and when he was first born.

She wouldn't want me to still be mourning. She would want me to move on with life and make sure Ethan grows up to be successful. I want to make her happy, since I'm the reason why she's gone.

A tear escaped my eye.

"I'm doing this for you," I whispered, kissing one of the pictures of her.

"Have fun!" I told Tamara before she ran off to play with Ethan.

"So, how's life?" Jason asked. We were sitting on one of the benches near the playground.

"It's okay, I guess. What about you?" I asked.

"It's getting better." Jason replied.

A few minutes later, the kids came back for juice.

"Here you go," I handed a juice box to Ethan and Tamara. They sat next to us, drinking their juices and talking to each other.

Soon, they were running around the playground, playing tag.

"They are so cute," I said, referring to Tamara and Ethan.

"Right," Jason replied.

Once it started getting dark, we both decided that it was time to go.

"Good night, Dani." Jason said, stretching his arms out for a hug.

"Night, Jason," I replied, going into his arm and hugging him.

Jason surprised me with his next move. He reached down and kissed me on the lips. There was a spark that I know Jason had felt also. Once he pulled away, we both smiled.

"Text me," I said, pulling out of his grasp and going towards my car. Tamara was already inside, waiting for me in the back seat.

"I promise," Jason laughed, walking towards his car also.

Once I got inside the car, I glanced at Jason who was inside his car. Our eyes met, and we both laughed.

"Ooooh, Mommy you kissed Jason," Tamara said from the back seat.

I laughed. "Noooooo, Jason kissed Mommy." I said in a baby voice.

"Oooooh, Jason going to get it! He going to get a whooping?" Tamara gasped.

"Maybe," I replied, laughing.

Once we got home, I cooked dinner and gave Tamara a bath while the food was cooking. We ate dinner together and watched a little of cartoons. As we sat down together watching cartoons in the living room, Jason texted me.

Jason: Hey Dani

Me: Hey, Wyd ?

Jason: Nothing really, laying down and watching TV. Wbu ?

Me: Watching cartoons with Tamara.

Jason: Oh Aighh, How was your day ?
