Danielle
"Oh my gosh, girl what are you going to do?" Jaycee jumped up out of her seat.
I was still in shock that I had Drake's phone and that he had got this text message. "I don't even know."
"Well, who do you think might have text you on your phone?"
"Probably Chris and maybe the girls."
"Well you know he's going to be mad about Chris."
"I know, I don't even know how to feel about that. I mean Drake and I aren't official so it's not like I'm cheating or anything. But I don't want to ruin the relationship we have now."
"True, I understand."
By that time, it was getting late, and Jaycee had to work in the morning. She insisted that we start getting settled down and go to bed. However, it was near impossible to rest when I knew that my relationship with Drake may be ruined by time the A.M. came.

"Dani wake up!" Jaycee yelled as she shook me in bed.
I slightly opened my eyes. "What?" I replied annoyed.
"I'm leaving for work," She said grabbing her keys.
"Nigga you woke me to tell me that?" I threw a pillow at her.
"I love you sister. I just wanted to let you know. Make sure you go get your phone today," Jaycee reminded me.
"Ugh," I replied.
When Jaycee left, it was 3 PM and she wouldn't be off until 11 PM. In addition to working at the dance studio, Jaycee sometimes bar tended at a local club.
I had hoped that Drake would come to my house to give me back my phone, but he had not. I didn't want to go to his house, but I guess that's what I would have to do if I wanted my phone.
I got in my car at around 6:30 and got to Drake's house at 7. His car was parked in the driveway so I guessed he was home. I rang the door bell.
"Who is it?" Drake said behind the door.
"Dani," I replied.
After a few seconds, Drake opened the door. I was instantly shocked. His eyes were bloodshot red and he smelled of alcohol and weed. His eyes were low, and he had a goofy smile on his face. I saw him lick his lips as he looked me up and down. I instantly regretted putting on a short dress today. He was shirtless, but wore jeans and some white Nike air force ones.
"I-I've come here for my phone," I managed to say. I was still really shocked at how Drake looked.
"Y-Yeah, I-I'll get t-that for you," Drake slurred as he walked inside his house. I pulled out his phone, ready to exchange.
Drake came back a moment later. "Here y-you go," He pointed out my phone.
"Thanks," I switched phones and turned around, about to leave.
"W-Why are y-you leaving s-so soon?"
"Um, Drake you're in a pretty bad state. Maybe you should lay down and sleep that off."
"I-I'm fine."
Right before I opened my car door, I got a feeling inside that made me turn back around and walk back towards Drake's house.
He stood at the door, watching me walk back up to him.
"Go inside."
He listened.
I helped him up to his room and laid him in bed.
"W-Why are y-you helping m-me. S-shouldn't you b-be with Chris? Y-you don't care about m-me. L-leave."
I ignored him. I knew it was just the drugs and liquor talking.
"Stay here," I ordered.
I came back up with an aspirin, a wet towel, and some water. I put the towel on his forehead and told him to take the aspirin. It only took a few minutes for Drake to be knocked out cold.
As Drake slept, I started cleaning his house. He had dime bags everywhere along with pints of vodka and other drinks. It looked like he had a party all by himself. I knew this wasn't the normal amount that a person should drink, and I hoped that the cause was stress and not that this was a routine.
I stayed at Drake's house until the next morning to make sure that he was okay. He didn't wake up until about 10 AM. I had already cooked breakfast for him and when he came downstairs, I could tell he still felt awful.
"Feeling any better?"
"Well the dizziness is gone, I just have the worst headache."
"You look a lot better," I smiled. His eyes weren't red anymore and he didn't look like he was going to pass out. He took another aspirin as he sat down at the kitchen table.
"How long have you been here?"
"Since yesterday, when I came to pick up my phone."
"Oh. Where's mine?"
"On the living room table."
Drake got up and grabbed his cell phone, walking back to the table.
"You read the message, didn't you?" Drake asked.
"Yeah," I replied, putting a plate in front of him.
"It's not what you think," Drake said immediately.
"Yeah, same about Chris' message,"
"Huh?"
"I know what you're thinking about Chris' message. It's not what you think."
"Yeah."
We ate breakfast in silence, and I prepared to leave. I picked up my items and began walking to the front door of Drake's house.
"Thanks for helping me." He said before walking me out.
"No problem; anything for a friend."
