Chapter 22

I was just chilling in my room after we got home from the mission. On the way home, I told them what all happened and they were surprised. I mean, no one expected my stupid powers were going to attack me. 

I decided I was going to be productive. Nya and Kai were doing their weird sibling thing where they get consumed into something and don't want to do anything else, Cole, Jay, and Zane were messing with the Time Blade, and Lloyd was talking to Sensei. 

I walked to the room where the three boys were and I heard Jay yell, "Let's do this. Time Blade ready?"

I walked into the room to see Zane hitting the Time Blade on the floor and slowing Cole and Jay. I walked over to Nya and sighed, "I'm dating a child."

She chuckled, "Yeah, but at least they are enjoying themselves. I would love to keep talking, but I'm trying to find my suit. Sorry, Shadow."

I nodded, "It's okay." I just sat down and was going to continue to watch the boys. I know I said I was going to be productive, but this is going to be entertaining to watch. 

Soon, Lloyd came in and was not happy, "Hey, I told you guys to not mess with the Time Blade."

Jay said, "We aren't." Soon, the bubble popped and all three tumbled down after hitting each other.

Lloyd grabbed the blade, "I said to hide it someplace safe."

"And we ignored you," Jay countered. 

"Besides," Cole started, "we're, um, skill-building."

"What skill? Room-destroying?" Lloyd fummed. "This Blade is extremely powerful and highly coveted. Nothing this valuable will be so easily conceded."

"'Nothing this valuable will be so easily conceded'," Cole mocked. "Sounds to me like someone's earned his black belt in being a wet blanket," he whispered to Jay.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Lloyd asked.

I rolled my eyes, "He means that you are ruining their enjoyment." Lloyd groaned, "You guys really need to stop being rude to Lloyd. He's the only one that's trying to keep the Blade safe so those stupid snakes don't get to it."

Jay spoke, "Aw, seriously, Lloyd and Shadow. Lighten up. It's not going anywhere." He took the blade and spun it, causing it to fly up and hit Lloyd in the head.

"Hey!" Lloyd yelled.

Jay nervously laughed, "Ahem. See?"

I scoffed, "Just wait till it does."

Wu came in, "Shadow is right. I see that after victory, some of you have chosen to amuse yourselves. I encourage you to not be so careless. Nothing this valuable will be so easily conceded."

Cole bowed, "Uh, sorry, Master Wu."

"Well put, Master," Jay smiled.

"Well put? I just said that exact same thing!" Lloyd was mad. I walked over to him and gave him a side hug.

Wu walked towards us, "Kai, Nya, join. This is important. You have had a victory. A well-earned one. But Krux, Acronix and their forces remain a threat. Do not allow your confidence to cloud your vigilance. I made that mistake once. Kai, is something troubling you?"

Kai sighed, "The marking on this helmet. Do you recognize it?" Wu gasped, "You do recognize it. What do you know? Tell me, please?"

"This mean," Wu started, "this changes everything."

Soon, a big thing came flying into the Monastery. Jay yelled, "What was that?" We all looked at the hole in the wall. 

We all quickly ran out of the Monastery to the edge of the land to see a big crew of snakes at the bottom.
