Chapter 20

After the Day of the Departed, we all pitched in to help clean up the museum, as it was our fault for it being destroyed. I will be honest, this is boring as all hell. I rather be out and about with Turner or doing stuff with Cole. Cleaning is not my forte.

"This ends now, Samukai! Nope, pretending this is the actual Samukai doesn't make cleaning up the museum anymore interesting. This is so lame. We're Ninja! Not janitors."

Lloyd passed by with the Chen mannequin on a cart, "Come on, Jay. We're all kind of responsible for the damage to the museum. After all, if we hadn't had that massive battle on the Day of the Departed, this place would still be in one piece."

Jay let out one singular laugh, "Yeah, and whose fault is that, Cole and Shadow."

I gave him a death glade, to which he stopping looking at me.

Cole rolled his eyes, "Okay. How many more times do I have to say I'm sorry for accidentally unleashing the ghostly forces of evil that attacked Ninjago." He then placed a portrait in a nearby wheelbarrow.

Jay simply said, "How high can you count?"

I glared at Jay again, "I'm not apologizing for shit. It's not my fault that I was under the curse of the Yin Yang Eclipse! Also, this wouldn't have happened if you guys managed to actually pay attention and noticed Cole was gone!"

I then saw Coles hand grow orange, him letting go of the wheelbarrow, stuff going everywhere. Jay ignored me, not wanting to heat things up, "Eh, speaking of which, you're still not used to having your old, non-ghost hands back?" He took a box with him.

Cole got down and started to pick up the minor mess he had made, "Oh, I'm working on it."

I continued to work as I saw Nya coming through, having troubles carrying a box. She then placed it down, "This is exhausting!" She stretched her back, laying her head down on a box, "If I could go back in time, I'd tell Dr. Saunders we were too busy to help."

Zane came in, pulling a cart with the Cryptor Mannequin, "Nya, you may recall that the rest of us, besides Shadow, once timed traveled. It can have devastating effects, and should not be used lightly. Certainly not to get out of labor."

Nya sighed, "It's just an expression, Zane."

Zane walked over to a shocked Kai, "I...I don't believe it."

Nya was confused, "What is that?"

"I think it's a portrait of.....our parents."

She looked at the back of the frame, "Woah. This dates to when I was, like, three years old."

"Shortly before the disappeared. We know so little about them, Nya."

"Father was the Elemental Master of Fire. Mother was the Master of Water." She conjures a water ball.

Kai sighed, "And they left us the old blacksmith shop and little else."

"They left us our powers."

We heard Cole yell, "Guy, look what I found."

We all went to him causing Jay to cock an eyebrow, "Isn't that Garmadon?"

"It is." He answered, "Lloyd, Shadow, that's your Dad."

Kai pointed time the picture, "And there's Master Wu."

"He looks so...young." Nya stated.
