Chapter 32

We kept watching the security cameras. Aspheera kept hitting the doors, making the snakes throw fireballs at it, then throwing Char into the door, which really surprised me. She then kept screaming and screaming at everyone to continue to hit the door.

"Wow. She looks really angry," Cole saw.

Wu turned to look away from the screen, "She is more powerful than I remember. Those doors will not hold for much longer."

I looked at the others, "Guys? How's it coming?"

"That should do it," Pixal stated. "Try to start up the mech."

"Give it another try, Jay," Kai called out. 

Jay started to turn it on, us watching the mech come to life. Just as we thought the mech is up and running, some parts of it start to malfunction, causing Jay to power it down, us sighing in defeat.

"It's okay. We can do this," Kai spoke, trying to cheer us up. Pixal, Jay, and Kai went back to work. 

"We need the second scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu. That is our only chance now."

"Don't worry," Cole soothed. "If it's at the Explorer's Club, Lloyd and the others will find it."

I sighed and looked at the floor. Aspheera is going to come in and destroy everything. 

Again and again, one by one, Ashpeera kept making them try to break down the door. Soon, she is going to win against that door. Only time can tell how long that will be.

We all collectively were working on the mech, trying to get it into working order. We then heard Ashpeera yell 'Again' really loudly, spooking us all. 

"Master Wu," Kai asked.

Wu looked up at Kai, "That is the sound of hatred. And anger. So much anger." Wu looked down, saddened by all of this.

"We won't let her get you, Uncle," I spoke out to him.

Cole grabbed my arm and held me tight, "Yeah, she'll have to go through us first." I smiled at what he said.

"Affirmative," Pixal agreed.

We heard a beeping sound coming from the communication device, "Pixal, come in!" It was Nya. "Pixal?"

Pixal ran over there, turning on the video, then stepping back so she can fully see the screen, "Nya, where are you?"

"I'm with Zane and Lloyd. We have the second scroll. Repeat. We have the second scroll. " We all cheered.

Pixal had a huge smile on her face, "That is most welcome news."

Wu immediately spoke out, "Nya, tell Lloyd to be careful with the scroll. It is very dangerous. The less he handles it, the better."

"I understand. We'll be careful." Another loud bang came from behind us. We all gasped. The door is about to break down. "What was that sound"

"The structural integrity of the doors is failing. You have to hurry, Nya," Pixal explained.

"Hold on, Pixal. We're coming!" 

Jay screamed, shaking Kai, "Aah! What do we do?"

I looked down to see a hiding place, "In there! Come on!" I grabbed Wu, pulling him with me.

Cole lifted the top off, pulling it away so the opening is bigger for us to get down there. The doors failing more and more by the second. One by one we went down, urging Pixal to hurry up and come down with us.

"I just need a few more seconds," She kept typing away on the computer.

"We're out of time! Pixal!" Kai yelled. The door flew open. I immediately pushed Kai down, Pixal running to the mech. We all went in, Cole putting the top back on, us barely missed being seen.
