"I- What d-do you mean you're h-his daughter?!" Cole stammered.
Yup. I totally just told the earth ninja I was his daughter. Now, how do I tell him my story without giving away that I work for Chen.....GOT IT!
"I suppose you want to hear the story, huh?"
Cole nodded, "If you don't mind."
I took a deep breath, "Well, you probably already know the story of how Garmadon used to work for Chen, yes?"
"Yup."
"Well," I started, "My Dad took me with him, because my mom, Misako, wasn't around at the time, for she was doing something with history, and Sensei was busy training someone else. Anyways, Dad started to work for Chen, while I was just hanging around, doing absolutely nothing. Cause, ya know, I was ten then. When I was doing my own thing, I kinda wondered off, cause I'm a curious person. And I got lost....someone ended up taking me in, and I never saw my father since...."
Cole did something I never thought he would ever do...he actually hugged me. I obviously hugged him back because I love hugs, it gives me comfort.
After we hugged, he looked at me in the eye, "I actually know how you feel. Of course, I didn't run away, or anything like that, but I know what you feel like. My father, he wanted me to follow in his footsteps, him being the Royal Blacksmiths in all. But, when I learned I couldn't sing or dance, I left. He thought I was at the Marty Oppenheimer School of Performing Arts. I actually came and trained under Sensei Wu. My father never knew I was a ninja. But, a while back, I actually met up with my Father, telling him who I really was. Helped me unlock my true potential."
I felt bed. He told me his whole REAL story of him and his father, while I had to tell him the fake version. I don't need him to know that I'm working with Chen...hopefully later, I can trust him enough to say the real truth....
"I'm sorry you went through that...but I'm glad you got to see your father again." I said while smiling.
"Have you talked to Garmadon yet?"
I nodded, "Yeah, we didn't talk much, but it was enough to make me realize how much I missed him." I felt tears rising, but I didn't want to show it. So, I turned my face away from Cole.
He gave me a side hug, "I'm here for you, uh- whats your name?"
I giggled, "Shadow."
"That's a pretty name. Kinda weird how your name correlates with you Elemental powers."
I actually didn't think that before. Kinda weird, "Yeah, it is weird. I never thought that before."
He laughed. Wow, is it bad that I found that cute, "Well, as much as I would love to talk more, I gotta get going. My friends and I have some important ninja business to do."
"Okay, um have fun. Also, I wish you and Jay didn't have to fight against each other. Kinda sucks since I know you guys always do things as a team."
He got up and sighed, "Yeah, it does. But, what can you do? Clouse and Chen doesn't seem to fond of us. Can't change their mind about it."
I looked down, "Yeah.."
Cole gave me a small smile, "Well, I'll see you tomorrow."
"See ya!" I smiled at him.
We walked to the door then stopped suddenly, "What did you mean Sensei was off training with someone else. I thought we were his first pupils."
