Chapter 24

A year pasted. We went from teen to adults. My brother went from a kid to an adult like that, right in front of my eyes. Lloyd's green eyes got brighter his hair got longer, but still looked the same. Cole had longer hair, and he always likes to put it half up, half down. Nya went from short hair to long hair, her always having it up to keep it out of her face. Jay's hair got darker and more wavy since it grew out a bit. His freckles are showing a lot more since he grew up. Since Zane is a robot, he doesn't look much different. Kai's hair is even more spiky than what it used to be. He also has scars on his face now, which shows up more prominate each day for some reason. And then there was me. I went from long hair to medium length hair. I didn't feel the need to have long hair anymore. I decided that I wanted to change up my hair even more by having purple highlights in my hair. I just needed a pop of colour and I wanted it to match my ninja gi.

I was out on a mission. My mission was to fight off one of the evil people that we have fought before. But, there was no need to fight them because when I got there, he was already caught by the police. Turns out he just turned himself in. Talk about my job being easy. Since I had nothing to do, I decided to take my time by visiting my best friend in the whole world, Turner. I used my powers and teleported right at the front door of his apartment. I've visited him plenty of times in the year that Wu has been gone. I knocked on the door and waited till he opened the door.

When the door opened and I saw Turner, I gave him a huge hug, "How is my Speedy?"

He hugged me back, "Good! How is my Gloomy?"

"I'm doing really well. The others are still on their missions, so I decided that I was going to hang out with you for a bit. Since Jay decided to steal  Cole from me. All because he didn't want to go on his mission alone."

"Jay is a scaredy-cat."

I laughed, "You're telling me." I walked into his house and we sat down on his couch. When I sat down, I screamed. A cute fur ball ran up to me and started to give me kisses, "Speedy! When did you get a puppy!?" I kept petting the puppy.

"Just a few weeks ago." He smiled. He was petting the puppy, too.

"What's her name?"

He had a small blush on his face, "I named her Shadow."

A small blush formed onto my face, too, "You named her after me?"

He nodded, "Yeah, I did. It's just because you're always gone and I miss not seeing you. So, now since I have a little black Pomeranian puppy, I named her after you so I always feel like you're with me."

I blushed harder, "That's actually adorable." I heard him say something under his breath, but didn't quite catch what he said, "What did you say?"

He rubbed the back of his neck, "I said that it's as adorable as you."

I gave him a small smile, "Oh, Turner. Thanks, buddy. You're lucky she's adorable because I know I'm adorable." We both laughed and enjoyed the time together. 

I soon got a message from Pixal, "Shadow, Master Lloyd requires your attention in Ninjago City."

"Roger that. I'm on my way." I got up and looked at Speedy, "Duty calls. I will talk to you later okay?"

"Of course. See ya, Shadow!"

I used my magic and teleported to the room where we were staying at. Everyone arrived one by one and when I saw Cole, I ran up to him, "Did you have fun?"

He rolled his eyes with a smile, "If having fun means getting the Monks to break their vow of silence, then yes, it was fun."

I laughed, "Oh my goodness. I knew something would happen. You two together is not healthy."
