Just Us

LUCY'S POV

We arrived at the burger joint a little later than planned, but Seb and Charlie weren't here yet either. "I told ya we coulda taken longer in the shower" Chris pouted beside me as he shuffled into his seat. I rolled my eyes at him and shot him a smirk. "If I'd have let you then we would have been an hour late, not 5 minutes" I replied. "but you didn't have to lock me out" he whined, pouting at me even more. I snorted out a giggle as I looked back at him- but we were interrupted by the arrival of our guests.

"Hey guys, so sorry we're late" Sebastian said breathlessly, smoothing his hair back on his head. We tore our gaze away from each other to see Seb standing over us, looking at us from the other side of the table. "its cool" I smiled up at him, as Charlie took the seat opposite me. "we've been sittin' here like a half hour" Chris complained, and Charlie's face flushed red. "No we haven't" I elbowed him in his side, making him whinge at me. "that's like the second time you've got me today" he whispered a little at me. I looked at him and bit back a giggle. "well stop doing things to make me do it" I retorted, before properly addressing our company across the table.

"you good?" I asked Charlie, but the bashful smirk across her face said it all. "gotcha" Chris winked at her, chuckling like a little school kid. I turned my head to him and raised a brow. "what is up with you today?" I asked incredulously. He sent me a playful smirk and shrugged. "maybe I'm just happy I get to spend a whole week and a half with you" he grinned. "the whole week?" Sebastian interrupted us. "You're staying there the whole of you annual leave?" Charlie chipped in, but I looked between her and Sebastian with confusion. "err, I wasn't planning to, no" I answered them, looking back at Chris. "eh, just a slight error in her diary that can't be rectified" he said, brushing it off. My eyebrows shot up in surprise, "oh is it now?" I asked, chewing on the inside of my lip to stop myself from laughing. He sent us that far too familiar smirk of his before sipping on his glass of water. "what is with you today?" I asked him, amused at his playfulness.

I looked back at Charlie and Seb, "has he told you what happened earlier?" I directed that at Sebastian. Seb shook his head as he grinned, shooting Chris a knowing look straight after. Chris just sat there chuckling. "he showed up at work- like an hour before my shift ended." I explained to Charlie. "apparently he was igcognito  but got spotted by every man and his dog and security was called" I explained. Charlie gasped looking at me wide eyed "Nigel called me on my walkie to get to his office- so there I was thinking I'd been busted for slacking off- but when I got there he introduced me to Mr. Evans and told me to show him around Groot's enclosure" I rolled my eyes giving him some sass as the guys sat there chuckling at me.

"then I had to spend the final half hour of my shift batting half of the female staff away from Groot's pool in case they fell in drooling over Mr Investor here" I thumbed to the guy sitting beside me. Whom may I add was just sitting there grinning widely at the situation. When I looked back to Charlie she was grinning too, which then set me off. "and just when I thought I'd gotten Yazmin and Robin off my back" I rolled my eyes yet again. "huh? How?" Charlie asked, so I quickly filled her in as the waiter came over to take our orders.

CHRIS' POV

"It's gonna be cool spending some more time with Charlie and Seb over the next few days" I yawned following Lucy into her home. I closed the door and stepped out of my boots. "yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. I'm just super glad Nigel let me have the time off so soon" She replied, kicking off her shoes. "me too. Gotta say, I'd have been soo bummed if Seb got to spend all that time with Charlie and I didn't have you with me" I said, watching her turn around to face me. "you're too sweet" she sighed, reaching up on her tip toes. I chuckled. "I really am" I grinned, "but when are you gonna realise that I always get what I want?" I winked playfully as I picked her up, wrapping her legs around my waist as I cupped at her butt. She snorted out a laugh. "think about it-" I added, "I saw you, I wanted you. I got that date with you" I grinned. "sure we split for a little while, but I still wanted you. I saw you again, I got you" I explained a little further, "you are so frickin' full of yourself" she laughed at me, "eh, what ya gonna do" I shrugged at her. "oh my god" she face palmed, giggling at the same time. "and do ya know the next thing that I'm gonna get?" I asked her, moving to walk up the stairs. "I don't want to ask" she muttered under her hand. "you naked in the bath"

LUCY'S POV

I had planned on spending the rest of the night curled up with Chris on the couch with a glass of wine- instead I was sitting on my bed, waiting for the bath to fill up. He wouldn't let me help him in there, so I sat shouting through to him telling him where the bubble bath was, and where I kept my candles, but all I could hear was banging and crashing and the odd curse word.

"what are ya doin' in there?" I smiled as I walked through my bedroom to poke my head around the bathroom door. But I fell silent when I saw the bathroom floor covered in little tea light candles, a few rose petals scattered over the bath water and a glass of red wine on the side of the bath.

"what are you doin' in here? I didn't tell ya to come in yet did I" he playfully scolded me, turning around from turning off the taps. My eyes wandered to his shirt- totally unbuttoned, the edges of it wet, with his sleeves rolled up tightly over his forearms. The belt around his waist undone also; the button and zipper on his jeans already pulled all the way down. My eyes glazed over and I swear my mouth started to drool- completely ignoring whatever he was now saying- if he was even saying anything...

It was only the feeling of his lips on mine that had me snapping out of this brain fog. The feeling of his hands sliding the zipper down on the back of my dress. Those same warm hands gliding over my skin as he pushed the material down the length of me until it fell to the floor- His lips yet to leave my own.

A quick snap of the clasp of my bra and that was gone- just the thin scrap of material which formed my panties was left. His tongue gently rolled over mine as his fingers pushed down the thin fabric of my underwear until I felt them at my ankles, reminding me I was in nothing now, but my birthday suit. Yet he didn't break from the kiss. I expected his touch on my butt- we all knew he was a butt man, but he didn't. His hands stayed light on the small of my back, holding me close. His kiss, and his touch stayed gentle, slow, a sweet romantic-ness I had barely experienced with anyone else, and it had my heart racing like I've never had before.

CHRIS' POV

Sure she was naked. Sure my hard on was raging for her right now, but this wasn't about a quick fuck in the tub. I didn't wanna let her go right now, I was pretty content just here kissing her. But the water was gonna get cold and it would be a waste of a pretty perfect bath right now. So I slowly pulled away from her lips. I opened my eyes a second sooner than her, catching her beautiful face- her eyes closed, and her pink lips puffed up from the kiss. I smiled when she caught me staring. "you're so beautiful" I whispered, running my thumb over her skin where my hands still sat on her back. Her cheeks flushed up and I chuckled, making her break her gaze on me. "I think we better get in the tub before it gets cold" she blushed, brushing off my compliment. "oh wow, am I getting in too?" I teased and she rolled her eyes. "Well you don't have to," she replied innocently. "I got beers in the fridge if you wanna go catch a game or something?" I laughed at her trying to call my bluff. "you know I could do that" I nodded, as I began to pull off my shirt, "but I saw the way you looked at me when you came in here," I teased, throwing my shirt down with her dress. "wouldn't wanna deprive you of that view" I added, making her snort at me again. "you're unbelievable" she face palmed. "thank you"

CHRIS' POV

The water had started to get cold about half an hour ago, but I think neither of us really wanted to get out. I had her curled up against my chest, her long dark hair splayed out over my shoulder as we talked about everything we could think of. My hand never left her skin at all. Light strokes over her hip, along her arm, or a soft kiss to her damp shoulder had me feeling all different kinds of content right now. "Do you want this?" her question broke through my thoughts as she held up the almost empty glass of wine we'd been sharing and I nodded, "sure" I took it off her and knocked the final dregs back. "this is totally gonna be our thing" She sighed, snuggling back up against my skin. "huh?" I asked her, setting the glass on the side of the bath. "this. Just this. It's perfect" she sighed again, her fingertips running up and down my thighs. You're perfect. I thought. But didn't have the balls to say. I love you. I didn't have the balls to say that either.
