Chris' POV

"and you really didn't know she was gonna be here?" I asked as I walked through the room after the panel. "No man! Look at me-" Seb called back, trying to catch up with me. I stopped and turned round to look at him. "do I look like I knew she was coming? I wouldn't do that to you man" he said, his blue eyes looking sadly at me. I sighed and dropped my hands to my hips and dropped my head low. "I'm sorry Seb." I sighed, "I just- seeing her...its...." I huffed, running a hand through my hair. "I know pal" his hand coming up to my shoulder again. "I saw her watchin' me y'know" I continued, "but then she looked mortified that I had seen her" I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "the way she ran out the door" I gestured with my hand. "it was like she couldn't get away from there quick enough"

"maybe she just felt that she shouldn't be here" Seb replied. "or she just didn't want me to see her" I said.

"you're not gonna know unless you call her" another voice entered our conversation. We both looked over to find Scarlett leaning on the table opposite us, with a smirk on her face. "I take it this is the girl that broke your heart right?" she asked, before taking a sip of her water. I nodded, feeling my cheeks flush. "well, the way I see it" she continued, "she thinks she shouldn't have came, got dragged into panel by her very overenthusiastic bestie, then when you locked eyes with her through the crowded room, she freaked out and bailed." she said. "she still cares for you" she stated, and I swallowed hard. "she probably thinks you hate her to some degree" she shrugged, "and the only way for you to let her know otherwise, is to call her."

I looked back at her with wide eyes, then glanced to Seb who was looking at her in the same manner. "I presume you still have her number?" she smirked again. I scratched the back of my neck and nodded. "yeah, I do actually" I confessed, not missing the wide grin Sebastian was giving right now. "well then. Call her. Find out how she feels. You got nothin' to lose" she shrugged. She made it sound so simple.

Lucy's POV

I pushed my way out of the room and found myself catching a breath. "what the hell was that?!" the voice of my best friend asked. I turned around and found her looking at me with a concerned expression. "h-he he-"

"he saw you. Yeah I saw that...I saw him watch you run out of the room too. Then I saw him turn and head backstage with the most pained look on his face"

"I knew I shouldn't have come here"

"No, He looked like he was torn. Seb ran off after him" She told me and I took a nervous breath. "My god I bet he hates me" I grimaced before face palming. "I wish he hadn't seen me." I sighed, "then or now?" Charlie asked with a smirk. But I frowned at her. "you're really not helping right now" I huffed. "I bet I've totally ruined his day, you know what?  I think I'm just going to head back to the hotel, hang out there til you're done here" I said to Charlie, still the pair of us were standing outside of the main hall as the crowds were filing out gushing about the discussion we had all just witnessed in there. "oh Luce, don't leave." Charlie whined, but I huffed, "I-I'm not really in the mood for all of this, especially now" I told her, tugging my bag onto my shoulder. "I've ruined my day, his day, and I don't wanna ruin yours too" I told her, knowing I was just going to mope around for the rest of the day, feeling guilty for being here. "You won't ruin my day. I'm used to your miserable ass pouting all the time." she smirked back at me. "please don't leave" She sighed again. I pulled my phone out of my bag, but looked up at her and chewed on my lip. "I've been waiting months to be here with you...and the worst parts over now!" She added, hoping to convince me to stay. But I looked at my phone and my heart suddenly leapt into my throat again.

Captain Spangles: Something tells me you didn't want me to see you just now? x

A nervous sigh left my lips and I thrust my phone at Charlie. She took it from me and scanned over the message. And her mouth dropped open. "ohmygod! He still has your number!" she gushed with a breathy gasp. "and you have his!" she added with excitement. "okay okay calm down!" I warned her, snatching back my phone. "that's not really the issue right now is it" I said, looking back at the screen. "well you gotta message him back!" she told me. "reply! Don't leave him waiting!" she said, pushing my phone in my hand. I scoffed at her, before looking at it again. What the hell did I say?!

Me: I'm sorry. I shouldn't be here. Charlie, she made me come along. Again. x

Instantly I got a reply back.

Captain Spangles: I'm sure glad that she has. Again. x

Well shit.
