12. On set

Lucy's POV

Today is my first day on set and I couldn't be more excited!

I am currently sitting on one of the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in getting a full face of makeup done on my face in the hair and makeup trailer. I mean I am playing a princess but this amount of makeup feels excessive.

Melinda sprays one more layer of setting spray onto my face and leaves me so that I could get my hair finished up.

"Alright sweetheart," She said looking at for any last minute fixes. "You're all done. Becky will be here shortly to finish up your curls."

"Thank you," I said appreciatively as the tall, brunette moved onto the next cast member.

I pulled out my phone as I grew incredibly bored sitting in my chair with no one to talk to. The first thing I saw as I turned on my phone was my lock screen with the most handsome boy in the world on it.

God, I miss him.

My lock screen is a picture of Calum and I having a secret picnic date back when we didn't tell anyone about our relationship. I was laying flat on my back looking up at him as he was laying on his side using one arm to prop himself up. Both of us have the biggest smiles on our faces as we stared at each other with so much love in our eyes.

I decided to text him and check in on how he was doing back in Australia.

Lucy: Hi babe! How are you?

I wasn't too surprised when he texted back right away.

Cal <3: Lu! I'm doing good I just miss your face :-(

Lucy: Aw baby I miss your face too.

Cal<3: First day on set right?

Lucy: Yeah...

Cal <3: How do you feel? Are you ready?

Lucy: Honestly Cal, I'm terrified. I feel like I don't know what I'm doing. What if I embarrass myself in front of everyone? I just feel like this was all a mistake. I would rather be back in Australia cuddling with you than be in this hair and makeup chair getting all pampered up for the world.

Cal<3: Baby, your'e overthinking this, everything is going to be fine. You earned this role for a reason. Think of it in this way, when the guys and I film music videos if we mess up a take we do it again. The same goes for you. If you mess up or forget a line all you have to do is do it again until you get it right.

Lucy: Yeah you're right. I just don't want to let anyone down.

Cal<3: You won't be letting anyone down. That's a promise.

I noticed Becky walking into the trailer.

Lucy: I love you Calum. I have to go so they can finish up my hair but I'll call you tonight.

Cal<3: You've got this miss perfect. I love you talk to you later.

I turned off my phone feeling slightly better. I love how he can make all of my worries disappear even if it is just by a simple encouraging text message.

"Hey Lucy! Let me finish up these curls and you're all good to go okay?" Becky stood behind my chair and got to work, finishing up my hair.

I was fitted into one of the most stunning dresses I have ever seen. It was a red, ballgown styled dress, that was tight around my waist but fanned out at the bottom. There were so many layers making me feel as if I was about to fall over at any minute.
