Lucy's POV

"We are so proud of you darling." My mom smiled through her tears. I was on a FaceTime call with my parents who were calling me to congratulate me on all of my recent success.

My parents didn't know anything about the contract I signed or how my life has been so damaged by everything that's happened this past year.

All they know is that I broke up with Calum, dated Devyn, broke up with Devyn, and am back where I should be, with Calum.

"Thank you mom," I smiled widely. I had my computer propped up on the kitchen counter at my aunts house as she was walking around and cleaning up some things.

The reason my parents are only congratulating me now is because my movie came out in Australia a few months after it came out in America.

"I mean you looked like an actual princess," She continued gushing. "So grown up."

"I agree with your mother," My dad stepped in. "You have turned into an amazing young woman and we couldn't be prouder of you."

I wish that my parents weren't 8,000 miles away from me right now so that I could reach out and bring them both in for hugs.

I was beyond homesick and knew that if I was going to recover completely that I needed to go back home to Australia and see them.

"Thank you," I sighed. "I love you both very much."

"And we love you." My dad said putting an arm around my mom.

I smiled at the sight of my parents being the happy couple that they always have been.

"Do you have any upcoming plans? New movies, Tv shows, commercials?" My mom questioned wanting to know what my next project would be.

"Actually I've been meaning to talk to you guys about something." I said nervously playing with my fingers in my lap.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Well, Calum and the guys are going on a world tour soon and they've asked me to go with them." I explained.

I wasn't expecting my parents to be totally for the idea. In fact, I expected them to shut it down and tell me to focus on my career. But that wasn't the case when they- "I think that's a wonderful opportunity." My mom smiled.

"You-you do?" I stuttered in shock that she was so for this.

"Yes," She encouraged. "After the stress of being put in the spotlight so young, you deserve a break and you deserve to see the world with the person you love most."

"Thank you mom, that means a lot to me that you're okay with this." I looked to my dad and so did my mom.

"I agree with you mom, you deserve it." He nodded his head.

"Thank you both so much." I sighed and felt a huge weight being released off of my shoulders.

"We love you and hope you're having a great time catching up with your friends." My mom said waving goodbye to me.

"I love you, talk to you soon." I waved goodbye and gave them a smile before they both disappeared from my computer screen.

I turned off my computer and rested my head in my hands. It was amazing how my life turned out this way and how it turned in a full circle in just one year.

Calum asked me if I was happy a week ago and I said that I was trying to be, which was true. But little by little, I could feel my happiness coming back without me having to force anything.
