Lucy's POV

Last night my aunt and I stayed up and watched sad movies as she said we would. We both cried, a lot. But for different reasons obviously.

I had to call Calum today, I needed to get it over with. I've been trying to push it back as far as possible but today was my last day to do it before management would let me go.

I stayed up all night thinking about exactly how I should break up with him. I also needed a good plan on how to get him back.

Although, I'm not sure that he would want me back after what I'm about to do.

I just finished filming scenes for my movie and was now getting ready to go home. I was hanging up my costume and taking off my heavy makeup from the day.

I did everything as slowly as humanly possible just so I could wait on this a little longer.

Once my makeup was completely off, I stared at myself in the mirror for about five minutes repeating "What the hell am I doing?"

You have to do this.

I picked up my phone and scrolled through my contacts. I hovered my finger over his contact for a few minutes unable to press call. I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath. Once I opened my eyes, I
pressed call.

He picked up fast, as usual.

"Hi Lucy." He said tiredly.

"Hi Calum." I said unenthusiastically.

"What's up?"

"Um Calum?" I asked nervously. Ignoring his question.

"Yeah? What's wrong?" He asked starting to sound more awake.

"I need to do something but promise me you won't hate me for it." I said nervously.

"What is it? I could never hate you."

Never say never.

"Calum," I paused, taking a second to think about how the next few words that were about to come out of my mouth, would potentially ruin my whole life. "I need to break up with you." A tear slid down my face.

"What? Why?" He asked speaking louder and sounding more awake.

I needed to say something that would make this easier on him. Something I didn't mean. He could never know the real reason is because I signed a legal, binding, confidential, contract.

"I just don't see a future for us." I said as if wasn't even sure I believed the words that came out of my mouth, because I didn't.

"Bullshit! I know something else is going on Lucy! You love me, and the Lucy I know would never lie to me." He accused.

"Well the Lucy you know is gone now Calum!" I said raising my voice.

"This just doesn't make sense. Why are you doing this?" I heard him sniffle. "Did I do something wrong?"

"No. You did nothing wrong." I assured him. "I just need to let you go." The lump in my throat was not going away any time soon.

It was silent for a few moments, the two of us were very clearly crying out of frustration and heartbreak.

"You know what fine. But I will have you back someday. You're mine and I am yours. You just need to figure yourself out."

"Calum-" I tried to explain myself but he cut me off.

"Just save it." His voice sounded so hurt and broken. I wanted to wrap my arms around him and never let go.

"I just need to know one thing."
