Lucy's POV
"An epilogue before we're done"
5 years later...
I'm sitting in my trailer on the chair as Melinda and Becky add some last minute touches to my makeup and hair look.
They've been my makeup and hair artists since my first day as a professional actress and they've stuck with me ever since. They're the only two women I'd ever trust to do my makeup perfectly and just how I want it.
"Tell me what you think sweetheart," Melinda says stepping to the side so I can admire how I look.
It was everything I'd dreamed it'd be.
"It's perfect," I gushed trying not to get emotional. "Thank you both so much."
"Of course, we're so happy you like it." Becky says as she gathers their things and places them back into the cases.
They both lean in to give me a hug, careful not to mess anything up.
"You're going to do amazing out there," Melinda says as she heads for the day.
"A true star," Becky says with tears threatening to spill down her face. "We are so proud of you."
"I love you both," I say looking back at them with my back twisted in the chair.
"And we love you." Melinda says as her and Becky wave goodbye and close the door.
I stand up and walk over to the body mirror hearing the way my silver heels sound on the wood floor of my trailer.
As I stand in front of the body mirror, I take in just how beautiful I look right now.
Not just on the outside, but I've grown so much on the inside as well.
When I look at myself in the mirror, I stare specifically at my eyes. The same eyes that eighteen year old me had and endured so much.
I had these light brown eyes when I was going through the worst and best year of my life.
I notice how there isn't a bruise in sight covering my arms and how a genuine smile sits on my lips. I've recovered and I'm so much stronger now than I was five years ago.
I was in such an amazing place when we got back from the Sounds Live Feels Live tour. Every time we landed somewhere new I could feel myself finding more ways to be okay.
There was something to learn from every where we went and I made sure to educate myself on the culture of every place we went.
I also got the opportunity to meet some of the fans and was surprised when they treated me kindly. I felt like I deserved the complete opposite, but that was just how my brain worked at the time.
"Lucy," Victoria knocked on the door of my trailer.
"Come in!" I say keeping my eyes on myself in the mirror.
"Hi babes, I just came to check in on you before we have to go." She says before walking over to me.
"Oh my god Lucy," She says really taking in how I look right now. "You look stunning!" She compliments with so much emotion laced in her tone.
"Do you like it?" I ask referring to my dress.
"Love, red is totally your color." She says as she takes in my entire look. "And Becky and Melinda did a fantastic job on your hair and makeup."
"Per usual," I agree with her. "And thank you Vic." I say as I run my hands down my dress to ensure there aren't any creases.
I was wearing a long red dress that was tight on the bottom and somewhat flared out at the bottom. It was lace material and hugged me nicely in all the right places.
