Calum's POV

I woke up earlier than everyone else in the house so that no one would stop me from what I was about to do.

Lucy ended up staying the night after a lot of convincing. I didn't feel safe with her going back to Devyn's house. She could have just gone back to her aunt's house but I missed her and wanted spend as much as I could with her.

We still have a ton of things to work out with each other, but nothing will ever change the fact that I am in love with her, even if she doesn't feel the same way about me anymore.

I headed down the stairs but stopped when I saw Ashton in the kitchen making coffee. Of course Ashton was up this early.

"Morning Cal. You're up early." He said continuing to make his breakfast.

"I have a few errands to run." I said scratching my neck.

"At 7 in the morning?"

I honestly didn't have an excuse for that so I decided to stop making excuses and just tell him. I needed his help anyways.

"Okay look. Devyn's a piece of shit boyfriend and Lucy deserves better. So I'm going to go talk to him." I explained but kept my voice quiet in case anyone else was awake.

"Talk to him?" Ashton said as if he didn't believe me.

Ashton didn't know about the bruises that were covering Lucy's body. She doesn't want anyone to know about them and out of respect for her I won't tell anyone. "He's put Lucy through a lot of pain. I'm just gonna teach him a lesson."

"I don't think that's the best idea Calum." Ashton said sipping his coffee.

"I know what I'm doing." I said glaring my eyes at him.

He kept his eyes on me and pursed his lips as he thought about his decision. "Alright fine. Do you need me to do anything?"

"Keep Lucy in the house. Don't let her leave because if she finds out about this she's gonna rush over to Devyn's house and get involved. That's the last thing I want for her."

"You got it." He said walking up to me. "Are you really sure about this?"

"Yes." I said with no hesitation.

He looked at me as if he was unsure but changed his expression and nodded his head. "Be safe alright? Don't get yourself into trouble."

"Thanks Ashton. I'll be back soon."

I grabbed my keys and jacket and headed out through the front door. I still had his address in my GPS from his party the other week.

It was only about a twenty minute drive but it felt longer because of how much anger I had bottled up inside of me. It took so much self control for me to not leave Lucy and beat his ass last night.

The others found out that she was over and Victoria got extremely excited to see her best friend but I stopped any of them from coming inside my room to see her.

I snuck in a few ice packs for her bruises. She was hesitant to let me hold her but she gave in and allowed me to place them on her. The two of us were making progress already but I wasn't going to rush anything.

After a few hours of us sitting in my room she told me that she was feeling better so we decided to join Victoria and the guys downstairs to watch a movie.

I was kind of disappointed when she didn't cuddle into me when we sat on the couch but I understood why. She has a boyfriend and our history together as a couple isn't the healthiest.
