Lucy's POV
"I think they hate me." I said sadly. Calum and I were laying down on the grass in a near by park we found. I had the day off and wanted to spend it with him before he went back home to Australia.
"They don't hate you, they could never hate you." I haven't spoken to the guys or Victoria since tour ended. I promised myself that I would reach out to them soon, but the days keep passing by and each day I find that I can't gain the confidence to send them a text.
"But I haven't reached out to them even though I don't have a reason not to." I turned my head to face him since I was previously looking up at the clouds covering the blue sky.
"You do have a reason, you're taking the time to find yourself. They may be idiots but they can understand when someone needs time for themselves." He said with a laugh as he turned his head to face me.
I softly laughed, "They are idiots." My smile faded quickly as I became serious again, having a realization. "How can they think it's okay if I'm not talking to them but I am talking to you?"
"Because I'm your boyfriend," He said as if it were obvious. "And beside's they know that if you're trying to find yourself again and do the things that make you happy, then you would want me to be there." I turned my head so that it was facing back up to the sky.
"Yeah I guess you're right." I decided it was best to drop the conversation for right now. If my friends understand why I'm doing this then that's all that matters. I'll reach out to them when I'm ready.
We sat in silence for a few minutes enjoying the peaceful scenery around us. Our lives are so hectic all the time, it's nice to find a place where we can be alone together and take it all in.
"Hey, do you still wear that ring I gave you?" He said breaking the silence.
"I've never taken it off." I said showing him my hand. I placed my hand in his palm and let him play with my ring.
I turned my head more to admire his features. The way his eyes were so focused on my finger and the ring on it. His hands were so soft but yet they could do wonders. The skin around his eyes crinkle when he smiles. And the countless amount of dimples he has on his face. He is perfect.
"You're so handsome." I said out loud without thinking.
"Oh yeah?" He said turning his attention away from the ring on my finger.
"Yes," I pressed. "You have the most perfect brown, curly hair I have ever seen," I ran my fingers through his hair "I could get lost in your gorgeous, golden eyes, your skin is so tan and soft," I brought my hand down to his cheek, caressing it "Your lips are so nice and so kissable," I pressed a short but sweet kiss to his lips "Everything about you is perfect."
He stared up at me lovingly, looking as if he was about to burst. He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me so that I was on top of him.
He kissed all over my face, not missing a single spot "I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you..." He repeated.
I giggled through his kisses until he finally stopped and we both caught our breaths.
I laid on his chest and listened to his heart beat return to it's normal pace. One arm was protectively wrapped around my waist and the other traveled up and down my back.
"This is so funny." I said lifting my head up to look at him.
"What is?"
"Not even less than a year ago, we were just two best friends who would hang out in each other's rooms for fun after school."
