Lucy's POV
My eyes opened to the familiar room that I had been staying in for the past week now. I nicely decorated the room that I was staying in to make it feel like home, but I would never call this place my home.
Australia is where I should be. I don't feel like I fit in with the locals here. With my accent and unfamiliarity with the common slang they use around here, it makes me feel left out in a sense.
I sat up in my bed and stretched my arms out above my head, letting out a loud yawn at the same time. My feet planted on the soft carpet and I headed towards my bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face.
Today, Devyn is taking me to Los Angeles to give me a tour. I wouldn't say that I was looking forward to it but it definitely isn't something that I have been dreading.
Devyn has been nice to me, a little too nice. But nonetheless, he's shown me nothing but kindness and welcoming since I've been here. I don't want to assume anything bad about him.
I get the feeling that Calum isn't the biggest fan of him though. Whenever he comes up in a conversation, he try's to change the topic as quickly as possible and I'm sure he doesn't think I notice this, but his energy and expressions always fall when Devyn is brought up.
As much I don't want to think about if Calum is comfortable or not, I still am. Today is my day to learn about my home for the next year and possibly more. I'm just gonna go and have fun and try to do so without any worries.
"Lucy," My aunt called from downstairs.
"Coming!" I shouted in response. I exited the bathroom and walked down the long spiraling stair case, entering the kitchen.
"What are your plans for your day off?" She asked intrigued. My aunt didn't have any kids so it was just me and her in the house. I'm sure she's very excited to finally have someone living with her in her giant house.
My aunt was a very well known actress and model in America. She started off small just like I did and continued making her way up to the top. I've always admired her and wouldn't hold back from saying that she is one of my biggest inspirations.
I took a seat across from where she was standing at the table, "My costar Devyn has offered to show me around Los Angeles today. Specifically the Hollywood area."
"Oh that's great! Sounds like fun." She said with a smile as she drank from her smoothie.
"Yeah," I smiled. "I'm excited to actually get a chance to enjoy the city instead of being rushed around."
My aunt opened her mouth to say something but my phone started to ring in my pocket, cutting her off. I grabbed it to look at who was calling.
Victoria May,
"I'm sorry Aunt Jamie let me answer this call and I'll be right back." I said apologetically walking back upstairs.
"No problem," She said unbothered. "I'll have breakfast ready once you're done." She called to me as I ran up the stairs, I was so eager to talk to my best friend before I officially got my day started.
I closed the door to my temporary room and answered, "Hello?"
"Lucy!" Oh thank God you answered!" She said sounding paranoid. "Please don't tell me you already went out with Devyn." Her voice sounded as if she was out of breath.
"No, I'm leaving in an hour. Why?" I asked confused about why she would be asking this and why she sounded so alarmed by it.
"I have something to tell you but I was waiting until I was away from the guys to say this. I just don't want to worry them, especially Calum."
