~Jessie's P.O.V.~

Ergh, where is he?!  It had been a couple minutes since I went out looking for him, but for some reason, his scent is, well, everywhere!  It's like a barrage of his scent is coming at me from all sides, which was weird, because there's only one Sting, right?  I stopped running and took a deep breath.  I closed my eyes and focused my senses.  All of these scents were old, as if it was years ago, but how could that be?  I may be good at picking up scents, but not scents that are seven years old!  Suddenly I picked up a scent that was fresher than the others.  I started running as fast as I could towards it, the scent getting stronger and stronger with each step.  Soon, the scent left town and went into a field of hills.  On top of one of them, I saw Sting with his knees curled to his chest.

"Sting!" I yelled, catching his attention.

~Sting's P.O.V.~

I was rattled out of my thoughts when someone called my name.  "Sting!"  I turned to see Jessie running towards me.  How did she find me?  No, why is she here??

"Jessie?" I said, standing up.  "What are you doing here?"

"Looking for you of course!" Jessie panted.  "I've looked for you for about an hour or so!"  An hour?  It's only felt like a couple minutes..

"Sorry," I sighed, rubbing my arms.  Jessie grinned.

"It's alright," she waved off.  She then looked to her right, which was the sunset I was watching.  "It's pretty, isn't it?"  I looked at the sunset too.  The half of the sun that was peeking glowed a bright yellow, with a red orange surrounding it.  Above that was a hot pink, and then a deep purple.

"Yeah, it's beautiful," I whispered.  I looked back at Jessie, who's crystal blue eyes sparkled from the light.  "Really beautiful.." I murmured without thinking.  Jessie looked at me weirdly, and I looked away, feeling my cheeks starting to burn from embarrassment.  "Er, I meant the sunset."

~Jessie's P.O.V.~

Was he talking about me just now?  Nah, don't be a baka.  Why would a stranger say that to you?  "Yeah," I said with a warm smile, looking right at Sting's dark blue eyes.  For some reason....those eyes felt so warm to me, even though that's physically impossible.  "Hey, Sting?"

"Yeah?" he replied.  I was about to say something when my legs suddenly gave out.  I waited for my body to hit the grass, but it never came; instead I felt something warm supporting me. A-re?  I opened my eyes to see Sting holding me.  He looked at me with a concerned face.  "You okay?" he asked, his voice dripping with worry and concern.

"Y-yeah," I said shakily, blushing at the fact that I thought his arms were so warm and muscular.  I was hesitant to part from his warmth, but I knew if I don't, he's going to think I"m weird, so I pushed myself up.  However, I lost my balance and fell, this time grabbing ahold of his abdomen.  At first I was going to push back and apologize, but I felt his hands squeeze mine.  I dared to take a glance at him.  He was looking at the sunset, and I decided to do so too.  For a couple minutes, we stayed like this, and I had to admit, it was kinda nice.

After a couple minutes, Sting finally whispered, "I think we should go back to the guild."  When he let go of my hands, I pulled away and nodded.

"Yeah, I agree," I said softly.  We walked together back to Sabertooth in silence.  As we walked, I couldn't help but wish for him to keep holding my hands.  It felt so....nice.  I quickly took a glance at him.  He was just looking forward, not really showing any sign of emotion.  Did that mean what happened just now meant nothing to him?  I really hope not, because......well, I really can't explain it, just that, I feel so happy whenever I'm with him.  Is that weird to feel like that when you just met this person today?
