You turned your head to look at Yachi and smiled a bit. Her eyes were still wide but tears began to fill them. I guess seeing you after so long, and so suddenly, triggered an emotional reaction. "I missed you too, Yachi." You said and brought her into a hug. She quietly sniffed into your shoulder and you just hugged her, trying to prevent your emotions from overcoming you.

"(Y/N)! Is it really you?!" You heard Hinata call while he ran towards you with Kageyama close behind. "The one and only." You laughed. "What are you doing back here?" The ginger asked still stuck in a state of shock with you standing in front of him. "I was just done with America and I'm ready to be back at my real home." You explain. After conversing with the freak duo and Yachi, you noticed Yamaguchi walking towards you.

You silently dismissed yourself from them and walked towards your best friend. Without even saying anything, you wrapped your arms around his neck and he wrapped his around your torso. "I missed you." He whispered. "I missed you too yams." You reply, pulling away from the hug.

"You look different." He says as he examines you and your features. "Everyone keeps saying that," You laugh. "It's not a bad thing, you look good." He responds with a smile. "You don't look too bad yourself." You retort, causing the both of you to break into laughter.

You glance behind Yamaguchi at Tsukishima, he had his back facing you and wasn't paying attention to what was going on around him. Yamaguchi noticed you look at him and spoke up. "You have to talk to him." You return your gaze back to Yamaguchi. "I'm scared, like what if he hates me because I never texted, or he doesn't wanna be with me anymore, or what-"

"You need to calm down." He tells you. "Tsukki has been going insane without you even if he doesn't show it. You've been gone for a very long time (Y/N), you guys need to talk and fix this." Yamaguchi explains. He was right though, you guys needed to talk everything out and see where the two of you stand. 

You took a deep breath and gave Yamaguchi one more smile before making your way over there. You walked slowly, each step bringing more and more anticipation. 

"Who is that?" One of the other boys on the team asked.

"She's really pretty." Another added, causing you to blush a bit.

"Isn't that the girl the third years always talk about?" Someone questioned.

 You continued walking until you were standing right behind the tall male. He seemed to not, or at least act like he didn't, notice your presence behind him. You felt the nerves overcome you and looked back at Yamaguchi. He gave you a reassuring nod and smile so you decided to just go for it. 

"Hey." You spoke up, causing him to tense. "Uhh I'm sorry that I didn't text you or anyone uh saying that I was coming back," you were a stuttering mess, you really didn't know how to say what you wanted to properly. Tsukishima slowly turned around to look at you as you were still ranting. He was still stuck in shock that you were actually here. 

You finished rambling and look him in the eyes. You were so overwhelmed by so many emotions, it was becoming more and more difficult not to cry by the second. As you looked into each other's eyes, it felt like everything stopped. The gym was completely quiet and everyone just stared at the silent interaction between the couple. 

"I was scared because I wasn't sure if you still loved me and I didn't want to find out if you didn't." Tsukishima just continued to stare at you as you spoke, still not saying anything. It kinda hurt your heart when he didn't respond in any way, he just stared. 

You stood for a few more seconds of just pure silence before you realized this was all a bad idea.

"This was a mistake, I'm gonna go." You laugh awkwardly trying to prevent your tears from falling. It hurt to know that you missed your chance to be with the boy you loved again. It hurt that he didn't seem to love you anymore. It hurt that he didn't care it say anything to you-
