IN PREPARATION FOR FOUNDER'S DAY, Harper had found herself in the school cafeteria with her friends to plan the float for the parade.

Caroline was directing the plan, considering she was Miss Mystic Falls and she simply loved to plan just about anything.

"Alright, let's reference last year's float. This is what they did." Caroline began, turning her laptop to show Bonnie and Harper the picture of the float from last year. "And it's exactly what we don't want to do." She added, causing Harper to furrow her eyebrows in confusion.

"I think it's nice. It's colorful." Harper observed, causing Caroline to shake her head slightly in disagreement.

"Well, what are we going to do then?" Bonnie asked, watching as Caroline flipped the laptop back towards her.

"Southern classic elegance." Caroline described, a giddy smile on her face as she spoke.

"So, 'Gone With the Wind'?" Bonnie confirmed, which caused Caroline's face to fall slightly.

"How did you know?" Caroline asked, causing Bonnie to laugh slightly.

"You channel Scarlett daily." Bonnie commented, raising her eyebrows at Caroline.

"So true." Caroline agreed, causing even Harper to laugh and agree with them. "Ugh, where's Elena? She's supposed to be helping." She complained, glancing around the cafeteria to see if she could spot Elena anywhere.

"I don't know." Bonnie replied sarcastically, shrugging her shoulders.

"Okay, what's the deal?" Caroline asked suddenly, looking at Bonnie in confusion.

"What do you mean?" Bonnie asked, right before Harper cut in.

"Bonnie, you can't ignore it forever. We both know that something is going on between you and Elena." Harper explained, looking over at Bonnie, who merely shrugged again.

"It's nothing." Bonnie insisted, her tone firm and her face emotionless.

"It's not nothing! You know, this whole float is supposed to be about friends creating something together, and everyone is fighting. Matt and Tyler hate each other, you and Elena are on the outs... I don't like it." Caroline ranted, clearly frustrated that things weren't going her way that day. "I can't fix it unless I know what's wrong." She added, which caused Harper to glance at Bonnie, realizing that was going to be an issue.

"I can't talk about it, Caroline. I'm sorry." Bonnie replied truthfully, not wanting to break Elena's trust even if she was mad at her.
