HALLOWEEN CAME QUICKLY, and before Harper knew it, everywhere around her seemed to be decorated with pumpkins, witches and skeletons. As much as she usually loved Halloween, she was still freaked out by what happened at the fundraiser. She hadn't come to any conclusions yet, but that didn't mean her mind wasn't constantly racing with possibilities.

"Come on, Harper, cheer up. It's Halloween." Bonnie commented as her and Harper walked up to the school, where an event was being hosted for all of the students. She noticed almost immediately that Harper hadn't been herself recently, but Harper insisted she was okay every time Bonnie asked about it.

"I know, and... I'm fine. Just tired, that's all." Harper replied, which Bonnie knew was a lie, but she decided not to comment on it.

"Well, you look super hot in that costume. You'll definitely impress everyone." Bonnie commented, causing Harper to laugh quietly, glancing down at her improvised "school girl" outfit. She was wearing a plaid skirt, button up shirt and black stockings to tie it all together. She knew it was lazy, but she had completely forgotten to buy a costume beforehand, so she threw it together the day of.

"Says you. At least yours is coordinated." Harper replied, glancing over at Bonnie's costume, which was a witch.

"Ooh, let's get some punch." Bonnie piped up, dragging Harper over to the pot of punch.

"I'd rather not. Last year, that nearly made me sick." Harper replied, laughing quietly with Bonnie as they recalled the events of the previous Halloween.

"So, where'd Caroline run off to?" Damon asked, approaching the two girls, who immediately turned to face him.

"Do yourself a favor, Damon, and don't ask us about Caroline." Bonnie replied coldly, crossing her arms over her chest as she met Damon's gaze.

"Oh, Bonnie, so loyal." Damon commented teasingly, earning an eye roll from Harper.

"Just leave her alone. And us, too, please." Harper cut in, Damon'e eyes meeting hers almost immediately.

"You're in a good mood." Damon replied, before his eyes landed on Bonnie's necklace, his tone becoming a bit more serious. "Where'd you get that?" He asked, his eyes narrowing a bit at the yellow stone hanging from her neck.

"From a friend." Bonnie replied simply, but Damon could see right through her.

"Caroline. You know that's mine, don't you?" Damon asked, but Bonnie was still as cold as she was before.

"Not anymore." Bonnie stated firmly, causing Damon to roll his eyes.

"Funny. I'd like it back, please." Damon replied, snapping his fingers as he demanded she give the necklace to him.
