"STEFAN, I TOLD YOU, I DON'T KNOW WHERE SHE IS." Harper huffed out as she stood in front of Stefan in the school parking lot. As soon as classes had ended for the day, he had dragged her out of the building, asking her a million questions about Elena's whereabouts. "Wait, I thought you two had called it quits?" She asked suddenly, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.

"I came as soon as I got your message." Damon approached them, glancing down at Harper in confusion. "Why are you here?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows slightly.

"Nice to see you, too." Harper retorted, causing a small smirk to appear on Damon's face at their light banter.

"Elena's missing, and it has Katherine written all over it." Stefan rushed out, gripping his phone in his hand tightly.

"Katherine's in the tomb. Trust me, I'm the one that shut her in." Damon replied, causing Stefan to step closer to him.

"Did you?" Stefan asked, watching as Damon's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Did I what, Stefan?" Damon asked, even though he knew exactly what he was asking.

"Well, I know the hold that Katherine has on you." Stefan replied, causing Harper to glance up at Damon, her eyebrows furrowing slightly.

"She is in the tomb, right?" Harper asked, growing a bit wary of what Damon had promised her the night before.

"Yes. Period. End of story." Damon replied firmly, looking down at Harper to reassure her skepticism. "But, she did say something to me right before I shut her in. I thought she was lying." He added, his eyes immediately going to Harper's in concern.

"What did she say?" Stefan asked impatiently, raising his eyebrows at Damon's words.

"She said that Elena's in danger. And Harper will be, too." Damon explained, causing Harper to furrow her eyebrows.

"Why would I be in danger?" Harper asked in confusion, looking at Damon expectantly.

"She said something about them wanting you for your powers." Damon replied, causing Stefan to scoff slightly.

"And, you didn't ask her to elaborate on either of them?" Stefan asked, growing more concerned for Elena by the minute.

"Everything she says is a lie, how was I supposed to know that she wasn't just saying that to get me worried about Harper's safety?" Damon retorted, causing Harper to shake her head slightly.

"I'm not in danger right now, though, Elena is. We need to focus on that." Harper cut in, looking at Damon, who clenched his jaw slightly, not wanting to agree with her.
