AFTER TAKING NOAH HOME, Harper got a text from Bonnie with a single line: Something happened to Caroline, she's in the hospital.

If she had gotten that text merely a few months prior, as much as she hated to admit it, she wouldn't have cared. But, now that her and Caroline were on better terms, even deeming themselves as friends, Harper couldn't help but be concerned.

So, after ensuring that Noah was asleep, Harper left her house, immediately rushing to the hospital to figure out what had happened.

"Harper!" Bonnie called out as Harper approached the front of the building, where she had been waiting for her.

"Is she okay?" Harper asked immediately, causing Bonnie to shake her head slightly.

"I don't know, I was waiting until you got here to go in." Bonnie replied truthfully, causing Harper to sigh out softly.

"Look, Bonnie, can we talk about this later?" Harper asked, knowing Bonnie was about to confront her about the whole Damon and device situation. Harper was still a little mad at Bonnie, considering she had almost cost Damon his life.

"Harper, you know we can't just ignore this. I don't want to fight with you." Bonnie replied truthfully, looking at Harper with concern. "What I did was wrong, and I shouldn't have done it. But, you have to understand that it's Damon we're talking about." She added, causing Harper to shake her head.

"So? Does he not deserve any kind of a second chance?" Harper asked, becoming slightly defensive of the vampire she was still trying to figure out herself.

"Do you like him, Harper?" Bonnie asked suddenly, causing Harper to part her lips in shock. "Because you're acting pretty defensive." She added, watching as Harper shook her head.

"No! I just think... I think he's misunderstood, okay? He's done a lot of bad things, and I know that, but everyone deserves a second chance." Harper explained, causing Bonnie to nod slightly, even though she wasn't so trusting of Harper's answer. "Let's go see if Caroline is okay. I'm not mad at you, Bonnie, I was just a little disappointed, that's all." Harper added, earning a small smile from Bonnie, who nodded in agreement.

The two girls entered the hospital, immediately heading over to Matt when they saw him sitting in the waiting area.

"How's Caroline?" Bonnie asked as they approached him, each of them taking a seat beside him.

"She's not good, guys." Matt replied, shaking his head slightly as they both looked at him in concern.

"What happened, Matt?" Harper asked, looking at Matt, who shook his head again.
