Dead Body- Bucky Barnes

(Y/N)'s POV:

I walked into Steve's room and knocked on the door lightly just so that I could get his attention since the door was already open. "What's up?" He asked as I stood there and played with the hem of my shirt. "We may or may not have a dead body in our living room," I said as he got up from his desk and walked over to me.

"Did you check their pulse?" He asked as we then walked together into the living room. "Ew no! They might be dead and I don't want to touch a dead body!" I exclaimed with disgust as he rolled his eyes and then we entered the living room where Tony, Bruce, and Thor were standing over the body. 

Natasha and Wanda were in the kitchen with Sam, Bucky, and Clint. "Is he dead?" Steve asked as he looked at the body. I ran to the kitchen and Nat made me a plate of food. "Are you guys seriously eating while there is a dead body inches away from you?" Tony asked as I nodded and bit into my sandwich. "Can someone help me get the body out of here?" Steve asked as Thor nodded and then put the body over his shoulder. 

"Alright, so who killed him?" Steve asked as I shook my head. "Not me, I found the body and then went to find all of you," I said as Steve nodded. "Wait, so just like that, she is off the hook? She found the body and was the only one in here so isn't she your prime suspect?" Sam asked as I angrily looked at him. 

"No, because if she had killed the man then she would have been okay with touching the body but because she was so disgusted, I assumed she had found it like she said she did," Steve said as I nodded and then continued to eat my sandwich. "F.R.I.D.A.Y. can you tell us who our victim is?" Tony asked as the AI spoke. 

"The deceased is a Hydra agent that went by the name agent Desmond." "See? It was a Hydra agent so it was fine that he died," Thor said as he walked back into the living room. "Yeah, but who did it?" Steve asked as I shrugged. "Let's ask each other some questions," Tony said as he sat down and then asked the first question. "Where was everyone five minutes before they saw the body?" 

"We were in the training room," Nat said as she pointed to Clint. "I was getting lunch with Vis," Wanda said as she pointed to her robotic lover. "I was in my room getting some writing done," Steve said as he smiled at me. 

"I was in the lab with Dr. Banner," Tony said as everyone turned to look at Sam, Bucky, and me. "Where were you guys?" Steve asked as I looked at Sam and Bucky. "I was doing some flight tests outside the building," Sam said as Bucky nodded. "I was in my room lifting weights," Bucky said as I looked back towards everyone. 

"And I was in the living room, killing the Hyrda agent that broke in while all of you slacked off on your jobs," I said as I took another bite of my sandwich. 

"What?" Steve asked as everyone just looked shocked. "Oh come on! I basically told you that I killed him but no one in here is smart enough to have figured it out," I said as everyone looked shocked. 

"I didn't want to touch the body because I already knew he was dead. And besides, he had it coming. The guy broke into Avenger headquarters and no Avenger was near. He could have leaked something or worse, hurt one of you idiots," I said as I then took another bite. 

"Now if you allow me, I have something to do," I said as I got up and went to go get in my super suit while I left everyone there to just think and talk amongst themselves. 

I got into my suit and the tight leather seemed to be getting tighter every time I put it on but I think that's just cause I've got a dump truck of an ass. I put in my earpiece and then made my way to the Quinjet. 

I strapped myself in and then I noticed that two other people joined my quest for more bad guys. "Hey, (Y/N)?" Bucky asked as I turned back towards him. "What's up, love?" I asked as he smiled. "What would you do if we ever broke up?" He asked as I laughed. "I'd let your homeboy hit it," I said as I then turned to wink at Steve. 

We entered the outside perimeter of where the Hyrda base was. "Sam and Nat, you two go along the ground and take out as many armed men you can find. (Y/N) and Bucky, go up to the roof and wait for me and Strukker when you get up there," Steve commanded as I nodded and then used my powers to take Bucky and myself to the top of the building. 

When we got to the roof, Sam was already waiting for us and there were dead bodies around him. "In my defense, they were just asking for it," Sam said as I laughed. "Where is Nat?" Bucky asked as Sam pointed to the ground below us. I then heard an explosion and some screams of men before Nat opened the door to the roof and joined us while we wait for Steve. 

"This is nice," I said as I held Bucky's hand and looked at my friends as we waited for Steve to stop being all murdery and give us the Hydra dickhead for me to kill. "There he is," Sam said as we saw Strukker get thrown onto the roof, and then Steve walked over and punched the guy a few more times. 

"Do it, Sam," Steve commanded as Sam took Strukker by the collar and lifted him off the side of the building. "Oh, Mr. Wilson. You are too honorable to kill me," Strukker said as a way to get into Sam's head. "You're right. I am," Sam responded. "But she isn't," He said as Strukker then looked towards me and I was already coming at him with a full-force kick. And like that, I kicked him off the side of the building. 

"Guys," Steve said in an annoyed tone. "Okay okay!" Sam said as he flew down and caught Strukker and put him in custody before his untimely death. 

All six of us went back to the Quinjet and made it home before anyone got too worried. As soon as we made it home, like always, Tony was having a party. I changed into something not too flashy since all I needed to show up for was my metal hand man.

I walked in and Tony got me a drink as I walked over to Steve and Bucky. "How are my howling commandos?" I asked Bucky laughed. "Man, I haven't heard that name in forever," Steve laughed as I winked at the two of them. "So, which one of you is going to dance with me?" I asked as I playfully nudged Bucky and then looked at Steve. 

"I'm sorry, doll. My feet hurt and I didn't think you would want to dance since you showed up in that," Bucky said as I smirked at him as I walked over to Tony. "Boys, never underestimate a woman in a pantsuit," I said as I asked Tony to dance and he agreed and took me to the dance floor. 

We danced in front of Bucky the entire time. We were just trying to egg him on. Eventually, Bucky was right. My feet started to hurt and I was getting tired. I limped over to Bucky and he smiled at me before picking me up bridal style and then carried me up to our room. 

"Good night my little murderous woman," He said as I smiled at him and then went to bed.
