(Y/N)'s POV:
I met Matthew Murdock during an interview that my best friend Karen Page set up for me. Matt was saying how he needed another assistant since Karen has become more of a partner to Foggy rather than an assistant. I applied for the job and to my amazement, I got it.
That was about three years ago. I'm now working for Matthew Murdock and Foggy Nelson as well as working beside my best friend, Karen Page.
You see, I've grown to now have a crush on my boss. Matt Murdock has this thing he does, well, he's blind so he can't exactly see me but he does notice me.
"You are using a new shampoo," he whispered as I leaned over his shoulder to fix what he was doing in the paperwork. "What? How did you-" "I can smell it. It's nice," He said as I smiled and then pushed some hair behind my ear.
"Matt?" "Yes, (Y/N)?" "I have a question to ask you." "Alright."
"I-" "Matt are we still on for tonight?" Karen interrupted before I could get my chance to ask him my question to him. "Yes, and dress nicely since this is important," Matt said to Karen as she smiled mindlessly and then danced off back into Foggy's office.
"What was it you were going to say?" Matt asked as he turned his body to me as if he could see me standing there uncomfortably. "It can wait for another day, it's not that pressing," I said as Matt nodded, and then I walked into Foggy's office where only Karen was.
"Where'd Foggy go?" I asked as Karen didn't even bother to look up. "He is picking up lunch and then I am heading over to the mall to pick up clothes for tonight with Matt," She said as I nodded. "Would you like to come with me? I could use some help picking out the perfect outfit," Karen suggested as I nodded.
When we were at the store that Karen wanted to pick clothes from, I sat near the dressing rooms and she tried on every outfit and then came out to show me each one and asked for my opinion. And I'm not going to lie to my best friend even though it would be so easy to tell her she looks cute in a certain dress even if it looks hideous. I could sabotage their date so easily.
But I chose not to because I care about Karen too much to do that to her. And I know that if this date works out well then Matt will be more like a brother to me so he will be closer to me than ever.
"(Y/N)!" Karen yelled as if she had been yelling it for hours to try and catch my attention. "I'm sorry I must have zoned out there, were you saying something?" I asked as she nodded and then showed me her outfit but I still couldn't quite focus on her since all that was going through my head was Matt Murdock.
"How about I take Foggy with me instead, tonight," Karen said as I looked up at her in confusion. "What? Won't that break Matt's heart? You guys already had this date planned," I said as Karen just started laughing. "I'm not going out with Matt. I was going to go undercover at a gala and Matt offered to come as my plus one to make it less suspicious but I can take Foggy instead," Karen suggested as I smiled.
"Why would you need to take Foggy instead?" I questioned as she posed in the mirror. "So that you and Matt can go out," She said as I just laughed it off awkwardly. "What makes you think I want to go out with Matt?" I asked as she smirked. "Oh please. The way you look at him should be illegal," She said as I giggled.
"Okay, fine. Let's say I ask Matt out. What happens when he says no?" "He won't," Karen assured me. "What if he does?" "He won't!"
Cut to us back at the firm and Karen walks in and Foggy is already in a suit. Karen had texted him so he went home and changed into something nicer. "You two have fun and don't stay out too late, and please be safe, also drink plenty of water, also make sure you get something to eat and-" "Alright! Thanks, mom!" Foggy said as he rolled his eyes.
