(Y/N)'s POV:
I had been waiting for this convention ever since I found out about it. I bought the tickets and bought my cosplay. I was going as Spider-Man obviously. I was so excited to see the new Spider-Man comics and to see other people in their costumes.
When I showed up I looked around and all I could see were people dressed as different versions of Spider-Man. I saw a Spider Gwen, Spider Pig, and of course lots and lots of Spider-Men.
Even though there were maybe 70 people who were wearing the same costume as me I still felt awesome in mine because of how cool I knew I looked.
I walked throughout the halls and talked to so many people but it was so much fun to take pictures with other people that found my biggest passion as amazing as I did.
"They don't call him the amazing Spider-Man for nothing!" One guy yelled to me as I did a backflip. I then saw the coolest suit walk-in and all I could wonder is where he got such an awesome suit.
"Hi, cool suit," I said to the other Spider. "Yeah, thanks. You have a really cool suit too," He replied. Soon enough everyone was crowded around this kid and were complimenting him on his suit as they had with me before.
I walked away saw a sign that read 'Spider-Man costume contest winner wins $300 cash.' That sounds like a lot of fun so I decided to enter.
"All you have to do is walk down the runway and do some Spidey poses and then our celebrity judges with say how many points you won," The lady said to me as she put a sticker on the back of my suit with a number and then she asked for my name to put on the back as well.
The guy from before came up to the lady and she gave him a sticker as well. I'm guessing he was entering the contest as well. I was sort of eavesdropping what he was saying to her.
"Got a name?" She asked him as she pulled out the marker to write his name. "Peter," He said as she just stuck the sticker on his back.
"(Y/N), you're next," The guy keeping an eye on the runway said to me as I looked out towards the crowd as I got closer. I nodded and then went up the steps to go walk in front of someone to judge me on how good my costume looks.
When I looked at the judge I almost dropped to the floor. It was the one and only Tony Stark judging a bunch of teenagers on how well they are dressed as another teenager. I took a few deep breaths and then walked the runway with all the swagger I had left which wasn't much since I am at a Spider-Man costume contest.
"Wow, did you make this yourself?" He asked me as I twirled around on the platform. "Are you talking to me?" I asked while getting very flustered. All he did was nod. "Umm, yes. I stayed up all night and made it in my parent's basement since they said they wanted me to keep all my cosplay stuff out of the house when they have quests. Which is fine because I like the darkness that the basement provides. The only thing that sucks is that I needed to make light some other way when making the suit so I called my friends over and told them they could go on their phones in my basement with awesome WiFi as long as they aimed their phone light at my workspace. And I couldn't use actual light from like a light bulb or a fire because my parents don't trust me with that type of stuff and-" "Jeez, kid. Do you always talk this much?" "Only when I'm nervous, sir" I replied while he just smiled.
