Chapter 2: Leona's Overblot and Past Life

Athena's POV

The mirror brought me into another dream of some sort. I smell something. "I smell... dirt?," I said. This time, I'm inside of Pride Rock as it took me by surprise. It feels gloomy and dark. I look to see Zazu trapped in a rib cage, singing a song, and he notice me. Worried, I came over to check up on him and see if he's ok. He was held hostage against his own will; at least Zazu isn't alone since I'm here in the dream. "Don't stop Zazu, you're bringing the mood down." To hear the familiar voice, I turn to see Scar relaxing at a rock phase holding a skull in his paw. He look at Zazu and then look at me. This action is sort of similar to the Queen of Hearts.

The bird shook his head, frowning at Scar just for holding him against his will. "Oh, I'd never have to do this with Mufasa," Zazu comment. It made Scar angry when he heard 'Mufasa' from Zazu. He roar angrily at the bird. "What!! What did you say!! I am the king!!" It shuts the bird's mouth at the spot. Zazu didn't want to be scold or eaten by Scar himself; although I'm here by his side. I'm a bit angry for the lion to shut him up like nothing. I look back at Zazu, giving him the relaxed eyes and it comforts him. "Did Scar hurt you?," I ask quietly. In response, he return an answer by shaking his head. It gave me sigh of relief.

I heard footsteps entering the cave and turn to see Banzai, Shenzi, and Ed. They seemed really hungry and thirsty. "Hey, Boss, we gotta bone to pick with you," Banzai said. The two entered the cave with Banzai to meet Scar. "There's no food, no water!! And we're starving!!," Shenzi spoke up. Scar got up from his resting place as he walk over to the other side, passing by me. I turn to look as he sat down with the hyenas on the opposite side. "I don't care. Ohh, eat Zazu." Scar points at Zazu being lock in the rib cage. I really don't want him as dinner for the hyenas. Banzai whisper under his breath. "Things were better under Mufasa."

Scar heard what Banzai said and growl at them. "Hmph, is that so?," he ask,"you're an eyesore!! Get out!!" He raise his voice at the hyenas and made them dipped. Scar shook his head with a frustrated look on his face. Before it ends, Zazu spoke up. "You, young one, I need you to listen to me carefully." I turn to the bird and raised a brow. Now I'm facing him, he spoke up. "Pride Land is tainted with Scar's evil. The darkness is taking over him. We want you to knock the evil lion back to his senses. By doing that, our land will return to normal. Can you do that for us?," he said. This request is similar to Alice when I had in Alice in Wonderland dream. I noticed a familiar figure appear next to Zazu and it turns out it's Mufasa's ghost. Reading his facial feature, he's also want my help to save his brother by Zazu's request.

"I'll accept your request, Zazu. I'll do whatever it takes to knock him back to his senses," I said. Both Zazu and Mufasa smile. Mufasa bow as a thank you for accepting the request. He lift his head up to face me. "Be careful, young one. The darkness in Scar is dangerous. Do what you can to save my brother," Mufasa said. I nod and he smile. I'll help to save him no matter what.

Looking back at Scar, I saw a dark shadow that looks similar to the Queen of Hearts twirling around him. This time, it has a smile on its face with Scar looking at me intensely and the dream soon end.

My eyes open to see sunlight beaming through the windows. I sat up and stretch my arms as I groan after stretching. Suddenly, someone just entered the room without knocking the door. I flinch by the sound and it turns out to was Jack in his PE uniform. Did he just snuck in without even ringing a bell or announce his presence? I would've throw a frickin pillow at him right on the face. "Oh, morning Jack," I said. He didn't reply back. Me and Grim aren't sure what is he acting like this until he walk up to me, grab my left wrist, and sniff.

It made me squirm a bit as to why he grab me and he click his tongue in a slight anger. "So it was you the entire time," Jack growl. I realized he meant my injured wrist and I freaked out. I yank it back like it was nothing. "It was one of those Savanaclaw student isn't it?" I didn't look at him in the eyes. Jack knew it was a yes and made him angry slightly more. "You should've told me." He look around and saw the stuff on the table as he head towards the items. I watch him getting them and I panicked. "Y-You don't have to treat it for me...!! I-I can do it myself," I reply. He didn't even listen, grab the items, and walk back to us. Grim was watching but didn't say anything from the start as Jack grab a stool to sit.
