Chapter 2: Magical Shift Tournament

Athena's POV

I heard echos of my friends as my vision was in a blur. My eyes open slowly open till it clear up to see everything is normal. Aiolia saw me wide awake and sigh in relief. "You're awake," Aiolia said. He put me in a sitting position, seeing my other spirits and my friends. "Phew. This is all over," Cater sigh. Yup, we managed to stop the dorm leader from further destruction. It made me feel relieved. I'm also worried if Headmaster found out I was using my magic again against Leona, crossing my fingers. "Then what about him?" Grim point at Leona who was laying on the floor. He walk over to him and jump on top. "Hey!!," he call,"wake up!!" We heard groggy escape from Leona as he woke up. Grim was glad to see him wide awake. "You're finally awake!! We weren't sure what to do if you stayed passed out like that!!" He got off from Leona.

"Now then, go ahead and confess that all of the accidents were part of your plan." Leona sat up in a state of confusion. "What... come again?," he ask. Wait a minute, does he even remember anything or what? I hope it's not amnesia. "Mr. Kingscholar. You fell into an Overblot rampage due to being consumed by blot and negative energy. Do you not remember?," Headmaster respond. Leona perk his ears up and his eyes widen in confusion and surprise at the same time. "I went on a rampage... Overblot? You're kidding..." Judging by his reaction, he didn't remember the rampage. Maybe he has a short amnesia. "More importantly, the Magical Shift Tournament is about to begin," Grim freak out. Oh yeah, the tournament is gonna start soon. I kinda want to join to be honest. "If you don't confess we can't get our prize and play in the tournament!!"

Leona turn his gaze at Grim. "Huh...? What're you talking about?," Leona ask. Jack walk over and respond. "They went after you in order to get permission from the Headmaster to play in the Magical Shift Tournament," Jack said. The hyena tilt his head with a shock look. "Eh? You did it for something like that?," Ruggie panic. I like how Ruggie just respond in a panic state to the ideal. Grim really want to enter as he frown at the hyena. " 'Something like that'?! You went around injuring people for 'something like that'." Ruggie steps back, regretting his actions on the students he did. "Ugh, th-that's... right, I guess." The Headmaster sigh and look back at Leona. "Then it's safe to assume that the series of accidents around campus were all your dorm's doing?"

We wait for the dorm leader to reply. He sigh and nod. "...Yeah, they were," Leona confess. It was about time to confess. Headmaster nod at the response. "Understood. Then, first of all, Savanaclaw Dorm is disqualified from this year's tournament. Further punishment will be decided after I have discussed it with those that you injured. Is that cleared?" Savanaclaw isn't going to compete. Leona sigh and nod, accept the disqualification. Ruggie and Jack didn't say anything about it. "Headmaster, please wait a moment." We look at Riddle with some injured students; Mu also arrived with the group. The Headmaster raise an eyebrow in surprise and somewhat confuse to see everyone at the spot. "Mr. Rosehearts? And you all are..." Riddle nod and points at them.

"Yes. They are all the victims in the accidents," Riddle said. Trey steps in to speak up about the accident. "Headmaster, as the victims we have a request to ask you. Could you please refrain from disqualifying Savanaclaw and have them play in the tournament?," Trey ask. Huh, what is he planning? Headmaster was surprise about the request from Trey. "What is this now? Are you saying... to let them off?," Headmaster ask. Ruggie and Jack doesn't know what to say after the strange request. Jamil and Trey shook their heads. "No, we're not letting them off so easily under our watch," Jamil reply. "If Savanaclaw doesn't play then we can't get the payback we so crave," Trey nod.

My eyes widen, noticing where this is going at. "Wait wait wait wait, hold up!! You're all being serious, right?! Tell me you're being serious!!," I yell. Dohko came over and he flick his finger on my forehead. "Ouch, what was that you old man?!" I glare at Dohko as I rub my forehead from the the pain. He gave a evil smirk. "Don't call me an old man, Athena-san. Let them have their little revenge for what they've done in the first place," Dohko smile. I cross my arms and gave a frown angry look. Well, Dohko's right. I do feel that they want their revenge after what they've went through before the tournament. I would be on their shoes. Riddle remember one particular rule. "Personal squabbles involving magic are prohibited on campus," Riddle sigh.
