Chapter 3: Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy

Athena's POV

I've another dream with the mirror. This time, I'm standing in a ship. I saw sailors running in a state of panic, preparing the ship. "A storm's comin'!! Hold on tight!!" In the distant, I saw a storm heading to our spot. Once it approaches, the ship began to move side to side due to the waves, making me tumble a bit. "This is a crazy storm...," I said. I try to grab something to hold on, but a huge wave crash onto the ship, knock half of the sailors, including me into the ocean. My body sinks in the salty water and I notice a movement approaching this way. I stayed calm and collective until I saw a familiar mermaid: a green tail, purple shell plates, and red flowing hair. Is that... Ariel?

She saw my appearance and stop in front of me as I raise a brow. Basically, Ariel took my hand and pull me to where a body floating. The body turns out to be Prince Eric. She grab his arm as we swam up to the surface. On the surface, our heads poke out to see the ship sinking. Next to Ariel, I notice Sebastian, Flounder, and Scuttle. Worried for Eric, she swam all the way to shore while holding my hand. The storm soon calmed down after arriving to shore. Ariel released my hand so she can lay Eric on the sand. I watched her place her ear on his chest to make sure he's still alive. Luckily, he's breathing. She brought her head up and smile happily. "Look, he's still breathing!!," Ariel said. Seeing Eric alive made her happy.

I watch her start singing Part of Your World to the prince. Hearing her singing voice make me feel happy. The happy moments stop when we heard footsteps approaching this way. We're in the open and will be spotted immediately if we don't hurry.

Panicked, Ariel turn to grab my hand again and rush me back into the ocean. Her friends are in the water, watching close by when that happen. We continue swimming until we reach the rock phase, peaking a little. The old man and a dog approach to find someone. That's Grimsby and Max, Eric's loyal steward and loyal Old English Sheepdog. Looks like they're looking for Prince Eric. They found his body laying on the sandy beach as Max ran over to Eric's body.

"Prince Eric!!," Grimsby call. The barking from Max and Grimsby calling woke the prince up as he slowly sat up. Max came and lick him on the with joy. The prince chuckle, petting his dog as he push him aside. "A girl helped me. She had a beautiful voice," Eric said. Grimsby help out to carry him back to his palace and his dog follow suit. The two were discussing about Ariel. Once they disappear, I turn to look at the mermaid. I notice she's not with me and swim back a little to see her head facing towards the sandy beach.

By the looks of it, Ariel seem happy. "I wonder why my heart is racing? I know my dream will come true," she smile. She brought her body up to half way up to the rock face. "Someday I'll be part of your world!!" A huge wave crashes right behind her, making a scene. Nearby, I notice a thing floating. It took me a second to see it was Jetsam and Flotsam, the twin eels serving with Ursula. "Fufufu," they chuckle. The twins soon saw me near Ariel and the dream end.

I combed my hair, humming a bit. Today's the last day of the final exam. I've been studied for some time after finish repairing the dorm three days ago. "I had a dream about a storm," I said. The dream I had was The Little Mermaid. That was weird, but it didn't bug me. I heard Grim's voice and turn to see him at the table, studying. He must've studied all last night for the exam. I didn't expect him to study since he barely even studied at all. Putting the comb away, I tiptoed to him and lean over to see what he's studying. "G'morning Grim. Did you study all night?" To hear my voice startled Grim and turn to look at me. "Don't surprise me like that. You're gonna make me forget everything I memorized," Grim frown. I lean back with a smile. "Oops, my bad. Today's the last day of the final exams," I said.

He cross his arms, grinning at me. "The two of us together count as one so don't go dragging me down." I shrug and head back to the mirror to comb my hair a bit more. After combing my hair, I tied it up to a medium pony tail. I check myself again to make sure I look good. "Alright, I'm ready to take those tests!! Need to get that done and out of my sight. Let's go Grim. Don't want to be late." Grim nod as we left our room. As a matter of fact, I wonder how he received a notebook from. I thought of asking him where he got it but he's gonna ignore me like nothing.
