Chapter 4: Celebrating at the Watering Hole

Athena's POV

I squint my eyes before they're open, revealing the ceiling of Scarabia lounge. At first, the visions are blurry until it cleared up. The sky is no longer red. Is the battle... finally over? Dohko lean over, appearing in my view. "How's your little nap of yours, Athena-san?" He asked with a light smirk. I shriek, almost slap the heck out of Dohko. He's acting like Milo when he pop into view after Azul's Overblot incident. It forces me to sit upward right as he lean back to his normal spot. "Why do you have to pop in out of nowhere?! You're acting like Milo!!" I said, staring at him. Dohko's response was a chuckle. One of my brow twitch. Thanked god I didn't slap him in the face when he showed up out of the blue. Both Dohko and Milo have the same mischievous personality just to get my reaction. Disowning them isn't my style since they want to lighten the mood after what we've gone through. Those two really want to surprise me whenever they could to get my reaction.

I look behind to see a pillow. Looks like he lay me down until I woke up. Suddenly, someone hug me tightly. "I'M SO HAPPY YOU'RE OKAY, ATHENA!! I WAS VERY WORRIED ABOUT YOU!!" Kalim cry out loud. Seeing him worried like that made me feel bad. He thought I won't able to wake up again. I smile and hug Kalim. "Sorry for worrying you, Kalim-senpai. Once Jamil-senpai is up, I want you to apologize." I apologized, shuffling his hair. We release the hug. He nod, applying he'll apologize to Jamil.

When Jamil and I knocked out cold after the battle and I woke up first, Jamil is the only one left unconscious. Azul's eyes pointed at a new spirit among the group. He clear his throat. "I would like to ask you something." Azul's voice broke the awkward silence. Shaka caught his attention. He turn to look at Azul. "When you launched your attack at Jamil-san, you took away his five senses. Will he able to get them back?" Azul asked. Jade, Floyd, Kalim, and Grim had the same question. During the attack, Shaka used his moves to get rid of his five senses. Once it was over, they weren't sure if Jamil will able to have them back. "Getting rid of his five senses are temporarily. It'll return to normal once he's up." Shaka answered his question. They feel relieved. At least it wasn't permanent.

Kalim started to feel worried. He ran over to his unconscious body. "Jamil... JAMIL!!" Kalim's panic voice can be heard. Kalim shook the vice dorm to wake him up. Jamil grog in pain before opening his eyes. His point of view is looking at the ceiling. "Where am..." He slowly sit upright, holding his head. His five senses are back to normal like Shaka predicted. Azul smile to see Jamil up again. "What a relief. We were able to bring back to your senses," Azul said. Everyone in the room nod. The residents, on the other hand, were back to normal but somewhat in disarray. Probably due to the side effect of Jamil's Unique Magic causing them to behave like that. Knocking Jamil back to his senses is now over. Grim plop forward on the floor in distress. "That shadow beast is gonna be visiting my dreams..."

"Jya, Jyammi..." Kalim stammer his words. Jamil turn to see Kalim. Tears start to form in his eyes. "WWWAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" Tears streaming down his face. Jade and Floyd witness him crying like a baby. He couldn't form words correctly. "Baby Otter, you're not using your words." Floyd pointed out. Jade fold his arms in disappointment. "It seems he's forgotten all about that punch we were talking about." Jade said as he was hoping for a punch to occur. The spirits quietly glare in the background. They were crossing their fingers that Kalim would never punch Jamil square in the face after the Overblot. Thanked god it didn't worked out as Jade would've hoped for which gave them a sigh of relief. If throwing punches do occur, chaos will ensue between them and force two or more spirits to intervene. Dealing with controlled students plus knocking him back to his senses took quite a toll on everyone.

"I'm so gwad you're awive... you're awive..." Kalim sob in between words, wiping his tears with both hands. Jamil rest his hands on a waist to see Kalim in a mess. "...Why are you falling apart..." He sigh. The dorm leader was super worried. Having Jamil knocked out after the battle and won't able to wake up again scared him. The spirits were hoping he'll wake up soon which indeed happened. "I had, I had..." Kalim sobs. "I had no idea how you felt this whole time. You-you've always, snif... been carrying that weight, sob, I had no idea..." Jamil watch him in silence. Kalim admit at fault for neglecting Jamil. He overlooked him over the years as if it's normal. Azul adjust his glasses. "As a result, you went and cruelly betrayed Kalim." All spirits quietly nod. Jamil did went out of his way to backstabbed him. He went out of his way to controlled the whole dorm to his own bidding plus Overbloting in the process. "Yuuup. Sea Snake, you've been making a fool of Baby Otter this whoooole time without saying a word." Floyd nod, teasing Jamil. Grim rest his paws on the waist. "You guys are worse at reading the room than I am, y'know!!"
