Chapter 4: Playing Detectives to Catch a Criminal

Before you read this and the next chapter, I'm giving a shout out to IlseBonilla5 for helping me with some ideas before Wattpad no longer use DMs on May 4th. All DMs were deleted and didn't know about it until I check them the exact day. I didn't received any notification during the beginning of April (mainly use my phone to use Wattpad app, sometimes the computer, but not sure if my notification was on) when it all happened. Now, can't use DMs anymore which stinks because it's great to have them.

And I returned from my trip on July 2. If you're going to ask where I went, it was Europe for two weeks, not three weeks (it was an error on my part), and it was fun. I was hoping I could finish this chapter before heading there or during the trip but never happened. When I got back, I took a few days off because of jet lag and unpacking before working on it. And now, I'm leaving tomorrow once again. This time, it's Phoenix (two days) and Las Vegas (one week due to my parents' business convention). Luckily, I got this done before leaving.

P.S.: I did what I could to interpret the idea we had, IlseBonilla5. Hope it's okay but I could adjust it if needed. Just give me a heads up.

Update (7/22/24): Just got back from my trip two days ago. I had to come back to this chapter and edit the part where Athena and the dark figure talk. The conversation didn't fit so I had to change it a little bit for it to flow better.

Athena's POV

By the time we devised our plan for the next day, we went straight to bed.

The mirror from Ramshackle Dorm pulled me in. I'm back at the royal palace but this time inside of someone's room. I look my surrounding and realize this room belongs no other than Jasmine. I sense something approaching and turn my attention to a balcony. The cool breeze blew the curtains gently. I walk out to the balcony as I look at the beautiful night sky. Soon, two familiar figures riding the magic carpet return from their little trip. Jasmine saw me waiting at the balcony and wave happily. I return a wave as Aladdin stop the magic carpet in front of the balcony railing. He assist her getting off before she ran up to me and hug me. I return a hug and release our grip. "I'm happy you're back. I've so many things to tell you," Jasmine smile. I nod with a smile on my face before looking at Aladdin. He bow before me out of respect, even if he's on the magic carpet. "I'm Prince Ali. It's nice to meet you in person. Jasmine told me all about you," Aladdin said. It's expected since Jasmine saw me in my previous dream.

"It's nice to meet you too, Prince Ali," I reply. He stand back up as he's ready to leave. Jasmine walk up to the balcony's border. She look at him with a smile. "Good night, my handsome Prince." He nod with a nervous smile. "Good sleep, Princess." The two slowly lean forward. I smile in the background, knowing where this is going. The magic carpet assist Aladdin and the both kiss each other for the first time. That kiss was lovely~~!! After that, Jasmine turn around and took me with her by the arm. The two look at each other once more before we enter her room. I assist her untie the hair ties, remove her headband, and set them on the makeup table. We hum "A Whole New World" together while I brush her hair since she allow me. "How was your trip with Prince Ali? Was it fun?" I ask the princess. Jasmine nod and smile. "It was fabulous!! So it began when Prince Ali..."

While Jasmine talks about Aladdin, my mind linger on the current situation. Somehow, I had this gut feeling Jafar will call the guards and throw Aladdin to the sea so he can get rid of him out of the picture just like in the film. At the same time, I'm certain Genie can help him escape from the sea by granting a second wish. By then, he can come back and expose Jafar in front of Sultan and Jasmine. That way, Sultan can call the guards, arrest him, and put him in jail for his evil deeds against the royal family. If the plan goes accordingly without a hitch, it should...
