Napakurap-kurap ako nang tuluyan ng nakalabas si Nikki.

Ang babaeng yun! Humanda siya sa'kin mamaya.

Dumoble ang aking kaba nang nilapitan ni professor Liam ang pinto. The clicking sound made its way to my ear as he locked the door.

"W-What are you doing? Why the need to lock the door? Ano bang pag-uusapan natin?"

Hindi makatakas ang kaba sa aking boses. I stepped backwards as he made his way near me. Ang bawat tunog ng mabilis niyang hakbang ay mas lalong dumagdag sa nag-uumalpas kong kaba.

Sh*t!

Natigil lamang ako nang wala na akong ma-ihahakbang pa. I was left cornered, with his personal table behind me, and his arms on my both side. What the hell?

Sobrang lapit ng kanyang mukha na nagagawa kong amuyin ang kanyang mabangong hininga.

"You'll give that boy a chance, huh?"

Kumunot ang aking noo. I was confused at first but then eventually, I realized what he's trying to imply.

"You mean Jeffrey? I-I wasn't serious when I said that."

Tumaas ang kanyang kilay. "Oh, really?" It sounds like he doesn't believe me.

I put my hands on his chest and tried to push him away but it was useless. He was like a strong wall, undestructible.

"L-Lumayo ka-"

I gasped when he held both of my hands that were on his chest.

"I have a deal with you baby."

I looked at him with curious eyes, not blinking. "What?"

"I know you're stressed about the offense slips I gave you and your friends. I can take it back."

Namilog ang aking mata. I was suddenly tempt by his words. "Really?"

He smirked and nodded.

I looked at him with doubtful eyes. "And in exchange of what?"

Saglit siyang natahimik. Pagkaraan ng ilang sandali ay bumukas ang kanyang labi. May kung anong dumaang kislap sa kanyang mga mata.

"Come back to me."

My heart soften after hearing his words. God knows how much I wanted to come back and throw myelf into his arms. Kung hindi lang dahil sa sitwasyon namin ngayon, hindi na ako mag-dadalawang isip pa.

I wish he's not my professor. So that our love wouldn't be forbidden. But then, kung hindi kami dumaan sa prosesong ito, hindi ko siya makikilala.

"That won't happen." iling ko

"I'd rather clean the whole library for five weeks than be with you again." matapang kong dagdag.

Napapikit siya nang mariin. Slowly, he withdrew from his hold and took a step backwards. Saka lang ako nakahinga ng maluwag.

A moment of silence stretched between us. Wala ni isa sa amin ang nagsalita. I glanced at him and I saw him looking at me, intently. Ang matang naninimbang, na para bang binabasa ang loob ng aking isipan. Somehow, I find him dangerous this way.

"Uhh..." I started hesitately when I remembered something.

Tumaas ang kanyang kilay.

"Are serious when you announced that I got into top eight?"

"Why? You don't believe it?" he smiled cockily.
