16 : Sweet Melodies

Niall's POV

"Come to daddy, sweetheart." I said as (Y/N) and I are teaching our 10 month old daughter to walk

(Y/N)'s holding her and guiding her from behind while she walks towards to my direction "That's it, my princess." I said cheering her on

She accidentally dropped on to her knees and was about to cry but (Y/N) comforted her "It's alright, my love. It was just an accident." (Y/N) helped her get up on her feet and continued to walk again

"Dada." (Y/D/N) said as she try to reach her arms to me

"You got to walk princess so Daddy can hug you." I smiled at her "Come on, just a few more steps."

After five or six steps, (Y/D/N) cuddled to my chest and wrapped her little arms around my neck as (Y/N) and I congratulated her "Good job, my love." I said while I gently rubbed her back and giving her a kiss on the the temple "Let's do it again okay? Daddy will guide you this time."

"And it's mommy's turn to sit down." (Y/N) said as she sat a few steps away from us

"Okay, left, right, left right." I said to (Y/D/N) "Sounds easy right?" I don't think that she understands me but at the same time I think she does because she's a very smart kid like her mum

As we are walking, (Y/D/N) stopped on her tracks and looked up to me and said "Dada."

"Yes, what is it?" I raised my brows and asked "Look, mommy's waiting for you over there." I added

(Y/D/N) said some gibberish words and I replied "Yes, mommy's waiting for you. Look she's sad, we need to walk closer to mommy to make her happy again."

"Huhu." (Y/N) pouted and pretended to be sad

"Mama." (Y/D/N) said and continued to walk to (Y/N)'s direction

"Atta girl." I said

When we reached to (Y/N), she embraced her like what she did to me a while ago and said "Mama!" then started talking gibberish

"Thank you for making mommy happy, my love." (Y/N) said and kissed her chubby cheeks "Here have some water first." (Y/N) said as she helps (Y/D/N) drink her water

"New skill unlocked huh?" I asked our daughter and she smiled after drinking her water "Such a good girl."

"I think someone needs to take a bath. I smell something funny down here, huh?" (Y/N) asked as she lift (Y/D/N) a little just enough to smell her diaper then (Y/D/N) giggled

"Alright that's my cue, I'm washing the dishes." I quickly stood up and went straight to the kitchen

"Niall!" (Y/N) chuckled "So unfair, it's your turn to give her a bath."

"Fine, fine." I said and walked back to the living room and picked (Y/D/N) up from (Y/N)'s arms "Why did you make a bomb when it's daddy's turn to give you a bath, huh? I thought you were a daddy's girl."

"Not anymore. Sorry hun, you've been replaced." (Y/N) said and patted my back before she left and went to wash the dishes

"Yeah, sure." I scoffed "She's joking right?" I quietly asked our 10 month old daughter after (Y/N) reached the kitchen then (Y/D/N) smiled at me "I'm taking that as a yes."
