29 : Saint Bernard

(Y/N)'s POV

“What are you doing, my love?” Niall asked as he walked behind the couch then sat beside me while Friends is playing on the television

“Looking for a dog.” I simply said while I scroll through an adoption site for dogs in my laptop

“Babe, don't tell me you're adopting one.” Niall sighed

I've been trying to convince and encourage him on getting a dog for a year now. He keeps telling me that having a dog is a huge responsibility and I believe we are ready to have that type of responsibility.

“Niall, come on. It will be fun to have a dog in the house.” I said

“(Y/N), no. I told you not now.” He said

“Then when?” I asked “It's been a year since you told me that and here we are still discussing about it.”

“I know it's fun to have a little creature running around but I don't think having a dog right now is the perfect time for us. We have work and travel plans and do you think having a dog right now is the right time?” Niall said

Well he has a point but I think we can work it out and figure it out.

“Look, if you want a dog, it's fine with me. All I ask is think about it first before making a decision.” He said “Alright?”

“Okay.” I nodded “I guess you're right, I should get a cat instead.”

“Babe.” He whined making me laugh

“I'm just kidding, boss. Anyways, I'm hungry let's grab some food at McDonald's.” I said and closed my laptop

“Now that's what I'm talking about.”

Niall and I went to a little party at one of my closest friend's house because after two days they'll be flying to the States and live there permanently.

“Hey there, buddy.” I said as I pet they're golden doodle “You still remember me?”

“Of course, he still remembers you. He loves you more than me.” (Y/F/N) said “I'm sure he's going to miss you.”

“Awe, I'm going to miss you too.” I said and cuddle him to my arms

“Why don't you get one? You and Niall are perfect to have a dog.” She said

“We're planning to adopt one, but still have a lot on our plate. Maybe next year or the following year. We're still figuring it out.” I said

“I'm telling you every day is a perfect day to adopt a pet. It's the best decision ever. Yes it's true it's a different kind of responsibility but I promise you it's worth it.” She said

“We'll see.” I smiled

After we spent our night with our friends, Niall and I drove off and went back to our place.

“You've been busy with the boys tonight.” I said as I grabbed a glass of water for Niall and I “And I think you're going to have a hangover tomorrow.”

“I know. It was fun talking about golf and football with the guys.” He said before drinking his water “Sorry was not with you during the party.”

“Oh, it's okay. I had fun catching up with (Y/F/N) and her dog.” I said “I'm going to miss them for sure.”

“If you're trying to convince me again on getting a dog, my answer is still no.” He said
