14 : Christmas Series - Addition To The Family

(Y/N)'s POV

"Wake up, my love." Niall gently whispered in my ear "It's Christmas!"

I stir in my position and cuddled myself to Niall "Merry Christmas, Ni."

"Merry Christmas, sleepyhead." He chuckled "Get up, we have to open presents. Santa visited us last night!"

"What time is it?" I asked

"I can't tell you because you'll probably kill me." He chuckled

I grabbed my phone beside my night stand and checked what time is it.

"Niall! It's freaking 6 in the morning!" I exclaimed and lazily slapped the pillow to his face "Can we just get up a little later?"

"No, now come on, get up. You got a present from Santa." He said before leaving and giving me a kiss on the cheek

After changing to a more decent but comfortable shorts and t-shirt, I went to the living room and saw Niall setting up a camera.

"Now there's my beautiful wife, good morning my love." He said and embraced me to his arms "Don't be grumpy anymore, I promise this will be worth it."

"So, what did Santa get me this Christmas?" I asked as I pull away from the hug

"Since you were nice this year you got a lot." He winked and handed me four different sizes of boxes

"Niall, this is so much." I said

"Just open them, this one first." He said pointing at the smallest box

When I opened it, there was a stuffed toy inside

I looked at him in a confusing way and he just chuckled "Just keep opening the boxes."

When I opened the other one it was a baby bottle which made me laugh "Niall are you pregnant?"

"Yeah, sure." He chuckled "Open the other one."

I opened the third present and inside it was a pastel blue shirt for babies (I think) because it was little so I assumed it was for babies.

"Oh, so we're having a boy?" I asked and he nod "You went to a doctor's appointment without your wife? Now I'm hurt, Niall." I said making him laugh

As I was opening the fourth present, Niall stood up from his sitting position and told me to keep opening the huge and final box then he went outside the backyard.

When I opened the box, there was a little bed that has bones printed around it, a collar and a leash.

"No, he didn't." I said to myself

I stood up and went outside the backyard and there he was sitting in the middle of our backyard with a puppy Golden Retriever on his lap.

"You got me a dog?!" I gasped and ran to him

"Merry Christmas, (Y/N)!" He said and handed me the puppy

"Oh, my gosh." I said and cuddled the dog to me "He is so adorable. I love him already."

"Haven't named it yet, I was waiting for you to name him." He said as he pats his head

"I think Trevor suits him. What do you think?" I asked

"Yeah, Trevor is nice." He smiled "Hello Trevor, welcome to the family."

Niall's POV

While we are playing with Trevor on the backyard, (Y/N) said that it's my turn to open presents.

"Babe, I told you not to get me anything." I said as I scoop Trevor in my arms and went back inside the house

"What kind of wife I am if I ain't getting my husband a present." She said as she guides me back to the living room "Alright, close your eyes."

I closed my eyes and heard (Y/N)'s footsteps fade away.

"Are your eyes close?" I heard her ask

"Yep, can't even see a thing. Only dark in my sight." I answered

"Just keep them close." She said her voice getting louder "Okay, give me your hand."

I gave my hand to her and then I felt a glossy paper touch my skin.

"Open your eyes, babe." She said

The moment I opened my eyes, I was greeted by a black and white picture that you can't really tell but you know what it meant.

"Are we having a baby?!" I asked and felt my eyes watered in excitement

"Not just one." She said and my smile widened even more

"We're having twins?" I asked

"Yeah." She nodded and then tears started to fall down her cheeks

"I'm going to be a dad!" I excitedly said and jumped up and down

"Niall! Be careful you might hit Trevor." She said

I grabbed Trevor and put him in the air and proudly said to the puppy "You're going to be a big brother." I said "I know it might be too soon but Trevor we got to train you to learn how to control your temper when you are around with kids."

"Niall!" (Y/N) laughed

"What?" I asked

"You're crazy!" She chuckled

"Babe, we got to teach him while he's still young." I answered

"I don't think he'll harm our kids, I mean look at him. Isn't he the most adorable and well-behaved puppy in the world?"

"Yeah but looks can be sometimes deceiving, (Y/N)." I said and put him down

"Oh, gosh Ni." She giggled and she gently scooped him into her arms "I don't think you'll hurt your little brothers or sisters, huh Trevor?"

"Wait, when did you find out you were pregnant?" I asked

"I took two or three pregnancy tests last week and they were all positive. Then the following day I went to my doctor for validation." She answered

"You went to a doctor's appointment without your husband? Now I'm hurt, (Y/N)." I jokingly said

"Okay, that line has been used. You could've rephrase it." She said making me chuckle

"I can't believe it, next Christmas there will be two little boys or girls or either, celebrating Christmas with us."

"Hey don't forget about our Trevor." She said as she pouts at the end

"And a dog celebrating Christmas with us." I corrected making her smile

Then she scoots closer to me and embraced me as she sits on my lap "I love you."

"Thank you for everything, my love and because of that I love you even more." I smiled before giving her a passionate kiss "Merry Christmas."

2020 taught us so many and we all learned the hard way, and I also believe there's always a rainbow at the end. So trust the process guys, everything will be better soon.
